I've reserved about 5000KC for end of the season shopping. What should I buy? What are you buying? What do you think will disappear for good?
My guesses... I think the Haunted Refrigerator will not be back next year, and maybe not the haunted organ and one of the spider webs (probably the smaller one). Bed? Lightning Window? (No, no, I love that window!!!)
My favorite Halloween items are the Jack O'Chair, Coffee Table Tomb, Haunted Organ, and Frightening Lightning Window.
I already bought about 10 windows and 10 Jack O'Chairs, but most other items I only have one or zero. I don't really care for the purple pumpkin dining table and chair, or the gargoyle furniture, but should I buy some anyway just for their potential value in case they disappear?
Decisions... decisions... decisions... __________________

I think the Tombstone coffee table, Cobweb bed and Frightning Lightning widows. That is just because these are the things I like the best.
The Mausoleum TV would have been my first chice to disappear from Last year's and the Crystal advisory ball was a bit of a shocker, The Fridge if you can get it, for sure. If it has gone to Curio only and is only available to Luxers, then it will be gone next year for sure. | | | 11-01-2009, 11:16 AM | #3 | Happy Birthday Moo Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 16,103 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? Oh and I think that investing in the pumpkin pops and licorice bats may be a good idea. I don't think there are any other phantom pops out there to make the tooth extractor with, so those will probably retire next year, too. | | | 11-01-2009, 12:17 PM | #4 | chickenloverz Webkinz :) Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 56 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? Thanks for the advice about the pumpkin pops and licorice bats, DixieCup. I always forget about food because it's so cheap. But you're right, the pumpkin pops and licorice bats are probably going to disappear, too.
I liked that crystal ball and was disappointed when it did not return this year. I only bought one last year for my Wizard's Room, but at least I got one. It reminds me of how they retired the moon lamp from the space theme this year. They were both small, cheap, and unique items.
As I was shopping, I just realized the gargoyle book shelves hold 8 items, so I'm buying some of them since I've had major storage problems after the snow white gem mining game. __________________

I agree, because they did hand out pumpkin pops in the basket, so that might be a hint. __________________ Peekaboo! | | | 11-01-2009, 08:29 PM | #6 | Gifted Join Date: Jul 2008 Posts: 6,245 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? I'm stocking up on things that were new last year such as the kitchen table and chairs. Well heck actually I got a ton of everything but for some reason I got a bunch of kitchen chairs. | | | 11-01-2009, 09:31 PM | #7 | starsong12 Webkinz :) Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 41 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? I think getting the wallpaper and flooring would also be a good choice, as they're not re-useable. It's just like the haunted floor and wallpaper from 2006. __________________ Music‼ ♪♫♥♫♪ What else would you want? | | | 11-02-2009, 11:09 AM | #8 | ishes she could be a Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 4,506 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? I agree that the wallpaper and flooring will be valuable, because of their un-resuableness (that's a word, right?) After seeing the new spider web come out, I feel there is a strong chance that the smaller spider web will be retired now. Same thing with the new chair this year, perhaps it is replacing the older one too. Those are just my bets! __________________ Click my siggie to see the Nutcracker Ballet: Done in Webkinz! | | | 11-02-2009, 11:12 AM | #9 | Happy Birthday Moo Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 16,103 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? All items are no longer purchase-able even though the pictures are still up in the W-Shop. It says that you have bought retired items and they are no longer available, but your money will be refunded. | | | 11-02-2009, 12:36 PM | #10 | ishes she could be a Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 4,506 | Re: LAST DAY FOR HALLOWEEN ITEMS - What to buy???? Yes, and unlike the retired clothes, wShop coupons do not make the items purchase-able either. Looks like they are really gone until next year! __________________ Click my siggie to see the Nutcracker Ballet: Done in Webkinz! | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
