How do YOU keep track?

I'm just curious.... How does everyone keep track of their stuff in their rooms? Do you print it off and then check it off? Or has some wonderful person out there (hint, hint) made a checklist (updatable) that I could download???

A list like that is great, but I need visuals!

I actually go to the Item Picture Gallery (compiled by none other than FIA!!!!!), and click on the blocks of images, then print them out in color.

I feed the printer paper manually, and usually use the same piece of paper twice. I print one set, then flip the paper so that the bottom of the page goes into the printer for the next set. Or you can leave the rest of the page empty for writing stuff down.

I prefer having the pics because sometimes I see something, somewhere, and have no idea what it is or how you get it. And I also see items and start planning rooms in my head.

For my PSF collection, I made a spreadsheet about every Webkinz ever made (to help me keep track of whether they are retired, and other stuff). The very last up-and-down row has the word "Yes" next to every PSF I have. It really helps me.

I don't... LOL, I just guess where my items are if I need them ;P

Spreadsheets are a great tool, but I also make screen shots of each room and storage area and fridge and then I load those into a screen saver that I can look at quickly if needed to find an item. I also fine Valleygrams list to be very helpful.

Wow you guys !!

I just keep it all in my head. I put things that fit with the room's themes in the storage in that room. I keep all Christmas together, Halloween together, TC items together , etc.
I didn't realize you all keep detailed logs.

This is a great idea Jagular! I try and classify my items depending on their room. There is the clothes room that I wear things from, and then the duplicate clothes room that I'm saving for a rainy day, and then the wshop clothes room. This is a really good idea though!

I have been trying to figure out a way to combine FIA's pictures with valleygrams list and leave room for a check box and a space for where in my house it is. Like it says in my user name, I want them all!!
