Fridges and Toy Boxes are very helpful. Like, try this, find or buy a room, (I'd go with a med. size room.) and re name it Spare Room, or something that you'll be able to tell from all the other rooms. And just fill it chock full of like as many fridges you can put in there. The fridges I use are the cheap ones, 500 Kc isn't so bad. And do the same thing with toy boxes. I hope this was some what helpful. | | | 10-24-2009, 09:14 AM | #12 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 142 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question Originally Posted by 3gypsies Yep, I agree with everyone here. The beach cooler bags (blue/White) are much less expensive and hold as many items as a fridge. | | | 10-30-2009, 08:34 AM | #13 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 544 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question I'm one of those themey people. I have my holiday clothing and food in the rooms they "go" with. Halloween food and clothes go in the spooky rooms, likewise for Christmas items and their respective rooms, etc. I did make one room an upscale dress shop though for some of my non-themed clothes. I have clothing wardrobes and beauty parlor items and all that rolled into one fabulous girl boutique. My girly pets love it! And I have one large "boys night out" room set up like a manly sports hang-out with fridges, greasy grill, sports booths, big screen tvs etc. and I have "man" food in there like cheeseburgers, nachos, pizza and all my guys lounging at the counter and in front of the big screens. So you can also do it that way. I always know which room an item will be in based on what it matches. | | | 10-30-2009, 11:53 AM | #14 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 797 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question Don't laugh -- but I have a notebook with maps that say what is where. There aren't enough choices to name things the way I'd like so I keep track on paper. | | | 10-30-2009, 12:53 PM | #15 | Banned Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 5,584 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question I like to arrange things by theme...all my winter and fall fest clothing goes in my winter/FF rooms, and most of the food does. Same with halloween and christmas.
I also usually keep any thanksgiving items in the fall fest room.
After that, I have a yard full of coolers that I keep random foods in | | | 10-30-2009, 01:32 PM | #16 | hello people and Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 3,211 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question i used one of my empty rooms and i just bought one thousand dressers so i can collect kinzstyle | | | 11-06-2009, 05:39 PM | #17 | oohoo!!! I have numerous storage rooms, for food, clothing, and decorative items.
I collect birthday cakes, which I put in the ice cream sandwich fridges in my birthday party room. I keep all of my Academy recess foods in kids' fridges in my kitchen. I have my Halloween candies in Halloween fridges, in my Halloween room. My goo goo berries are in the blue fridges in a storage room. That storage room also has fridges from the ice theme, for Winter Fest foods, and ice cream sandwich fridges for my W-Cares foods.
Going with a "theme" fridge can help you remember what's in that fridge. Since I moved some stuff around, and bought extra fridges, I have some fridges that are empty right now. So I turn them sideways, so I know they are the empty ones.
For clothing, I went mostly with the rattan toy boxes, to save KC. But I had so many of them in 1 room, that I could only vaguely remember where stuff was. So I got some other toy boxes, pink ones, to use for girly or extra-special clothes. I also agree that keeping the same types of clothes together is a good idea (shoes, hats, glasses, tops, bottoms, etc.).
Most of all, to help you remember where stuff is, you need a system that makes sense to you. | | | 11-08-2009, 07:33 PM | #18 | e all fall down Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 17,029 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question I have 4 rooms FILLED with rattan toy boxes. They perfect! They don't cost much, and they store LOTS! Another thing to do is store clothing on your pets... you can store some in each of the categories (casual, fancy, etc...) But that might be confusing since you have so many Webkinz... | | | 11-08-2009, 09:15 PM | #19 | ohi doctor Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2007 Posts: 25,987 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question Originally Posted by jemkinz Don't laugh -- but I have a notebook with maps that say what is where. With over 100 clothing items in my docks and multiple storage units, I could very well have 1000 retired clothes items. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
