Does anyone have any suggestions on how to store or where to store the items? I can put them all in my doc but that is confusing and overwhelming since I have over 100 rooms and over 200 webkinz. I tried under "my page" there you can see other items you have easily but clothing and food only show up there if they are in your doc already. I just wonder if I have missed something...there has to be a better way to do this. Anyway, just wanted any thoughts you may have on how to best start this process. THANKS so much for helping! __________________ I love ! | | | 10-19-2009, 10:26 AM | #2 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 207 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question What I have found helpful is to a room of only refrigerators for food and a room of dressers only for clothing. When they are full you can make another storage room. __________________ | | | 10-19-2009, 10:31 AM | #3 | Gifted Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 1,852 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question I agree with MommyOf4.
I make storage rooms. I have them all in one long row. Then within the rooms I try to keep things somewhat thematic. Maybe have all holiday stuff together, or in one corner of a room. All kinzstyle in another corner etc. You can use different storage units to help you differentiate the different sections of your room. Maybe keep one type of clothing in the book boxes, another in the white dressers etc. Maybe put all pants along one wall, and all shirts along another... figure out what makes the most sense for you. | | | 10-19-2009, 10:42 AM | #4 | Webkinz :) Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 35 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question Try putting all shoes together, all shirts, all pants etc. it helped me. | | | 10-19-2009, 10:59 AM | #5 | phoebelei Gift Guru Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 3,805 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question The rattan toy box is one of my favorite storage items because it is cheap. The vortex will let you store food or clothes. And I also have a outside room full of the ice chest that I bought when they were on sale. But the best thing to do is keep like items with one another and you can always take screen shots so that you know where your items are... good luck with your project. __________________ Background and circumstance influence who we are but we must take responsibility for who we become ~~MY GE~~ Thanks Peggios for the new siggy | | | 10-19-2009, 11:20 AM | #6 | I am a fairy who is Gifted Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 2,064 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question That is what I do! I already had some rattan boxes, and I bought a lot of the space saving blue book boxes and inside/outside coolers. Now I'm thinking of differentiating more by getting some of the one-square dressers when they go on sale. Boys' clothes would go in the blue-stripe one and girls' in the cream or orange ones. The Halloween chest would be great for costumes, and the Halloween fridge could be used for any holiday food. | | | 10-19-2009, 01:19 PM | #9 | Gift Trainee Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 358 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question I like to organize by collections and or type and color, ie all baseball hats together, all pieces of an outfit together, etc. I also like to put all the foods from a certain holiday or event together. You might also want to take screen shots of your closets and label them. Good luck! | | | 10-19-2009, 05:38 PM | #10 | melethana Gifted Join Date: Sep 2009 Posts: 479 | Re: Collecting clothhing and food question yes, grouping like items in the same room will be very helpful. Personally, I use the blue book box for storage, it is 95KC, and only takes up one square, however it holds 6 items, not the 8 like the rattan box. However I think the blue book box is the cheapest way to store lots of items in the smallest space possible. I have one room for Snow White items, one for furniture and other big items, and one for magic forest and fall fest items. Fall fest along the walls, fairy items in the center. Think about whether or not you will want to leave aisles between the boxes so your pet can walk to them. __________________ Norbert, the Emperor Dragon, Ariana, the Pink Pony Ginny, the Lil' Unicorn
