I have been using the same 3 pets so I don't use up all my gems on food that I really don't need. I am one away from the waterfall on one of my pets the other 2 are up to the throne. Not going to start sending anymore pets until I get at least one more all the way to the end.

I have gotten to the Gem Fountain three times. Then I quit bacause I was running out of gems.
