To zap or not to zap

I don't zap (most of the time) mainly because it's mean but also because it's generally a no advantage move *unless* you get four pipettes in a row and get an extra turn or you can add to your test tubes at the same time or put out of reach a colour the other person needs.

If you just put 3 pipettes in a row then you add nothing to your test tube and I lose three. But on mt next turn I can pretty much guarantee getting the three back again so it's back to how it was before that round had been played.

I find it kind of amusing that people will zap with four in a row pipettes, but think its mean to do it with three. You are still stealing atoms whether or not you get another turn. I've done it before, but only if I cannot rearrange the board by another play.
I don't zap as a rule, but if someone is zap happy then I feel free to do it back to them. I never zap first. If I play against someone who zaps just for the sake of it while there are plenty of great moves on the board, I will NOT likely play that person again if they ask for a rematch.

I don't mind if someone chooses to zap me. It's part of the game. Each person plays it the way they want to. I don't take it personally and neither should my opponent. I do avoid it because, as the initial post explains, it does not provide you with an advantage. I think many of the people who are "zap happy" are little kids who think it's fun or just like to hear Goober say "Who's the Winner Now".

I'm with Jenifla, I don't zap unless they do. I'm there to get money and have a fun game, not a zapping one.

For me, Atomicolicious is a fun and easy way to win KC. By using the zappers, the length of the game is extended, and BOTH players can win more money!!

Don't take being zapped personally, this is just a game.

If you ever play this game against a retired pink horse named Lovey, feel free to zap away! That way we can keep the game going and both win more KC.

I am with you bigtoe. This is one game I don't mind losing as long as I make some kc. I have lost this game lots of times but made more kc than the winner. I do this by getting as many coins as possible. I will pick the coins over the colored atoms anytime! Lovey sounds like an ideal opponent!

i try not to zap unless im desperate. Maybe it's just because im looking for it, a kind of self fulfilling proficy, but it seams like when you zap you almost always set up the other player with a four in a row.
