I love to get ahead of someone and then just rack up the points. The money you can make on this game makes it worth playing. Even if your opponent does zap once in a while. | | | 06-30-2008, 05:34 PM | #12 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 4,351 | Re: To zap or not to zap I most definitely try to make matches rather than "zap" I use that as a last resort. I enjoy the game and don't really care if I win or lose, because you still make KC. I consider myself a good player because I never leave a game, whether I win or lose. (Sometimes GANZ forces me to leave, by shutting my phone or sending the message: "Game over, gapi has left". I really would like to know who "gapi" is because that is not the name of the person that I started playing with. Must be a "ghost" of webkinz past!!!! LOL!
What really irritates me are the players who "zap" right off the bat then quit when they see they have left you a couple of 4 or 5 in a row moves. Then after going back to the arena for a new opponent, guess who shows up again? You guessed it! Mr. or Ms. I'm losing so I don't want to play anymore!
I play every chance I get, (When the phone stays on, and Ganz doen't throw glitches and logs me out).

I don't try to run up the points for the sake of earning kinzcash as the objective of the game is to win. There is no need to prolong the inevitable, especially in a blowout, so I'll take the most rapid path to victory in order to start a new game. Other than Ganz's software problems, nothing is more irritating than to be down 20 to someone who is 3 away from a win yet they won't take the last 3.
I do make exceptions & will prolong a game if I'm playing someone who is clearly inexperienced - in these situations, I'll even leave a few 4 bangers hoping they'll luck into them and learn some strategy. | | | 06-30-2008, 08:10 PM | #14 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 562 | Re: To zap or not to zap Even more frustrating??
When someone sees the game isn't going to go well for them, they quit, then have the nerve to ask you for a rematch! Um..thats NOT gonna happen.. | | | 06-30-2008, 10:57 PM | #15 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 153 | Re: To zap or not to zap I don't zap if I can help it, unless they've zapped me first and I'm way behind. | | | 06-30-2008, 11:46 PM | #16 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 9,123 | Re: To zap or not to zap Quote: My question for the group: do you try to prolong the game by not hitting the winning move so that you can earn more $KC? If I am far ahead, and I don't think they will win, I do try to drag the game out as long as I can. Got 70 kc that way yesterday, as opposed to my 30 or 40. That's a 50% increase, so I think it is well worth it.

I would prefer get points by taking the colors the other person needs to beat me than to zap. When you zap it gives you no points and lowers one of their totals. But they usually make that up on their next turn plus more and you have done nothing to advance yourself. I never thought of it that way. I might have to stradegize(sp?) like you do now, it seems like it would be more effective than what I mentioned. Last edited by -Lilypad; 06-30-2008 at 11:46 PM.. But I don't do it for kicks. That's not cool. | | | 07-03-2008, 11:37 AM | #18 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 126 | Re: To zap or not to zap I never know whether I'm playing against a 6-year old or not. I usually wait and see if they zap. If they do, then I feel it is ok for me to do the same. Also, if they are close to winning I will zap. I will play a second game against someone who zaps me, but I will then feel free to zap away! | | | 07-03-2008, 12:42 PM | #19 | crunchtime1234 Webkinz :) Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 21 | Re: To zap or not to zap I will only zap if the other player is within one or two moves of winning. I much rather get points than zap. | | | 07-11-2008, 08:53 PM | #20 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 32 | Re: To zap or not to zap I'm not a zapper. I only zap if it's the only play or that's the only way for me to stay in the game. I hate zapping because it just hurts they other player and I don't get any points. Also, lots of times they get set up for more points. Now, if there's a four in a row zap, I may do it. It depends how the game is going. I love any four in a row! If I don't take it, I'll make sure it gets destroyed so it can't be used against me!
I also like to try to get lots of points so I try to keep our test tubes fairly even. I don't want to get way ahead and frustrate my opponent, but I want points. I take the money, if it's there. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
