I agree that people who quit after starting or when they are winning is annoying but i disagree about people who lost the game who ask for a rematch. if they quit cause they were losing then asked for a rematch then that is mean. But if they played the whole game it is fine. | | | 07-06-2009, 03:24 AM | #22 | pollywog2 Gift Guru Join Date: Nov 2007 Posts: 3,007 | Re: Quitters never win! Yes, why quit in the middle of the game then ask me to play supermodels? If you had wanted to play THAT game why not go there in the first place? | | | 07-06-2009, 11:41 AM | #24 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 4,351 | Re: Quitters never win! I received a pm from Pollywog and she referred to a post by Chicktastic. Both quotes are below and I think that something I said in my original thread might have caused some confusion. My original thread said: "Another irritation is the person who looses and asks for a rematch. You play, they win, then quit." What I meant by that was you play against someone and they lose. They ask for a rematch, they win. Then before you can ask for a rematch, they quit, but do not show you the same courtesy of offering a rematch. I'm sorry if that sentence confused anyone. As I stated originally. I love to play, win or lose. But if you decide to play, don't quit. If you quit in the middle of a game, don't ask for a rematch, that is bad manners and I refuse any offer of a rematch to anyone who has quit in the middle of a game. If you play the entire game and lose and ask for a rematch and win, show the same courtesy and offer a rematch to your losing opponent. I hope this explaination clears up any confusion. Thank you for the clarification. I totally agree with you, if they quit because they are losing and ask for a re-match, why play with them? They only want to win and don't care about the other player. The point is to have fun and make some KC along the way. That is certainly poor sportsmanship.

I completely agree with the statement 'Quitters never win'. When your playing Atomicolicious, and you can clearly see that you're not going to win (which is hard to clearly predict, because a lot of times, the play comes around, and ends up winning), don't exit out. Wouldn't you agree that it's better to recieve a few Kinzcoins that you earned instead of 0 Kinzcoins because you quit? Not only is it annoying to have the other player quit on you because you aren't getting any money, but the game was going really well, and there's really no good reason why they would have left. And 'because they got tired of the game' really is no excuse. It is beyond excrutiatingly annoying to have someone leave the game. I really do hope that some of those people who quit on people are reading this, because they deserve to know how the people who like to play feel about it. I love to play Atomicolicious, and no one is getting their fair chance to play if everyone is leaving the game. I almost just want to aviod that game, because it's a fair assumption that 9 times out of 10, your opponent is going to leave you. I hope that the number of quitterse I see reduces, because I really want a fair shot at playing my favorite game. | | | 07-07-2009, 02:41 AM | #28 | Diabetes Awareness Webkinz :) Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 52 | Re: Quitters never win! While I understand that it is frustrating to have someone quit on you, you have to remember that SO MANY things can happen to make someone quit a game. I've had my computer die in the middle of a game. I've had my internet go out. I've been logged out of WW for no reason. Also, I have had the game freeze..what choice does a person have if the game freezes?
As for people asking for a rematch after quiting a game, it could be because their end of the game froze, and they still want to play (been there, done that myself).
I'm not saying your frustrations aren't warrented, and we all know there are sore losers out there, but try to remember that some people have no choice but to "quit" the game. | | | 07-07-2009, 06:19 PM | #29 | /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 2,145 | Re: Quitters never win! ALWAYS happens to me with cash cow...they just can't stand losing...well, better losing and getting SOME kinzcash then none!!!!! gee.... | | | 07-07-2009, 07:05 PM | #30 | Webkinz :) Join Date: May 2009 Posts: 21,605 | Re: Quitters never win! I absolutely know how you feel. When it comes to WOTCG, I rock all socks off, so people naturally quit on me. I hate it. I am strategic, I save cards, I don't live for the moment, I win a lot. And now everyone who sees me leaves. I must have earned a reputation for almost always winning, and my staregies. I get punished for being good. It hurts my feelings! | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
