So when I'm playing someone who, say, deliberately zaps even though they're waaaaaaay ahead and there are plenty of other moves... I'm gone. I'm fine with losing a good game, even a just-OK game, but why should I stick around to lose a bad game? I don't expect people to put on their best manners and refrain from winning, lest someone's feelings get hurt, but if a player goes zap-happy or takes three or four extra-turn combos in a row and leaves their opponent eating their dust, well, they shouldn't be surprised if a percentage of players decline to help them earn their mad money. I quit as much as 10% of the time because I've drawn a ruthless/clueless opponent who kills the fun in the game. I can only hope they cry about their lost KC.
Not that anyone at WI would play like that, of course.
I don't friend on WK, so anyone who bails and tries that sad maneuver on you is definitely not me. But if you zap a lot and your mild-mannered opponent abruptly goes into take-no-prisoners-let's-end-this-destroy-destroy-destroy mode... | | | 12-15-2008, 08:41 AM | #22 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 36 | Re: quitters Don't like quitters. No way to tell if they really quit or had a glitch. I've had a glitch a couple of times and was kicked out of games | | | 12-17-2008, 10:56 PM | #23 | betsey2u Webkinz :) Join Date: Apr 2008 Posts: 1,485 | Re: quitters To me,.just my observation,.that if a player isnt that good they quit,.or if you get a good first move,.they quit! not talking about technical problems that happen also! I noticed for awhile there if someone used the ongame chat,.everything slowed massively,.and sometimes I wondered if the other person was even there anymore. Then I would quit! I stopped playing because of people quitting or malfunctions.
You usually can tell when they quit on purpose because right afterwards you go to play again and there they are!! what do they do?? they quit as soon as they see its you again! lol.

I dont know if that its about kinzcash,.its usually about playing your best game. Some people do not want to play against people who are not serious either. How would one know if you were not the ruthless person?? and were just waiting to spring it on them?? There is always most likely a reset,.and any player can come back sometimes just in thier first turn and fill everything up from top to bottom. The game is both strategy and luck. If you are really wanting to play a good game you would take every shot open to you, regardless of how many points you or other player has. I play this same game A LOT, and get very annoyed with people who only play as long as they are winning. There has been many games where my opponent has been way in the lead and because I took the zap-happy way I was able to win. But, it is nice to finally be able to see the other side of this situation, never really thought about it from this point of view............. That is the great thing about this site....in-site! | | | 12-18-2008, 12:54 AM | #25 | Gifted Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 142 | Re: quitters Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but recently I can't play anything for more than a few minutes without being booted out of Webkinz. It doesn't matter if it is on a Mac or PC, or if I'm on Safari or Firefox. It is very frustrating, but it is not my choice. I can't believe that I am the only one with this problem. It is especially frustrating when I have a great game and when trading. | | | 12-18-2008, 02:03 AM | #26 | Gifted Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 5,165 | Re: quitters I hate when they quit too! | | | 12-19-2008, 09:35 AM | #27 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 39 | Re: quitters I have a new strategy. I make a 4 for the other player w/ my first move. Then I find out if they know how to play the game (if they miss it) and if they get it, they are happy and less likely to quit. I don't mind starting the game down b/c it is not to hard to get back up in the early game. I like playing defense. If they get a lot of 4s in a row I call it a "romp."
I try not to zap if I am ahead but it is really hard to resist a 4 zapper.
I like to play against a player who can beat me, I like the challenge. -- Rainbow, Cloudy and Brie | | | 12-19-2008, 09:44 AM | #28 | icked Awesome Webkinz :) Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 2,190 | Re: quitters I have this problem too! Everytime I start to play with someone that sees I play a good game they bail. I shouldnt have to play "easy" with them just so they dont get their feelings hurt or anything, I dont care if I do loose, but I want to play a good game. I mean you do get KC even if you loose, so I dont understand the whole quitting thing. It drives me mad.
what makes me more crazy is when they quit then try to add you to their list or invite you to play supermodelz or something.
No--- I want to play this game and with someone who doesnt cry if I win. Im sorry if that sounds mean, but its true. I dont cry when they beat me! If I find a challenger who does actually beat me honestly with no help from me, I will play them all day bc it is an actual fair game.
Im not mean yall I promise lol this just grates on my nerve! (Yes I said nerve bc I only have 1 left haha) __________________ *~* * ~*
