Odd chat.......

Sometimes when I play this game I get people who chat to me using their own typed chat messages. IE: they chat without using the pre-selected chat phrases at the bottom of the screen.

Anyone else ever experience this?

Nope. I've been playing intensively on lunch hours this week to unwind (sorta) and I have yet to see a type-your-own message. For some reason, I don't get many opponents who use the chat, but I'll keep an eye out, now that I'm aware.

Only thing I can think of is that there might be a Kinz Chat Plus connection, but I don't go to the Clubhouse so I've never bothered signing up and can't test it. Wild guess on my part.

You know....that could be it....

I did "sign up" for kinz chat plus...

but that still wouldn't explain why they could chat to me with their own phrases...but I couldn't. I could only use the preselected ones....

That is interesting - and kills the Kinz Chat Plus possibility. Strike that theory.

Interestingly, I just played a game and got a quick "I'm feeling confident" from the other player. I've seen it in the chat before, but it was not available in my chat options.

I wonder whether there are some chat options that can vary from game to game? (Hmmm... sudden thought that they might even be linked to what zone you're in at the time?) I can definitely confirm that I got a comment that wasn't among the options I had at the time, though I've seen it in the past. Not a conclusive explanation, but comforting in an "I knew I wasn't going crazy" way!

I've noticed the same thing, too, but not only do the opponents say odd things on kinzchat, but my character does automatically as well! I certainly haven't prompted it to say anything on my own (not a big fan of chatting while I play), nor do I have any clue how to say the odd things it comes up with. Craziness!

I've had it happen but it is usually "canned" phrases like they could use if they were visiting your room. I have also had it happen that my pet said stuff when I wasn't chatting (random stuff, not the phrases in the game). Also I have had blank chat, when there was nothing in the game phrases, and you could select one but you get an empty balloon.

The "odd chat" has happened to me too. Also the weirdness with my pet saying things just out of the blue.

I SO wish that Ganz would either come up with new canned phrases in Atomocolicious and also the other games. And I REALLY wish we could type our own sometimes, especially when the game gets hung up and keeps going on its own with no way to let your opponent know that you're not just sitting there but really unable to proceed.

That said, it's my favorite game and I play it all the time!

That happens to me while playing, and I don't understand how. When I choose one of the buttons for "ASK" "SAY" or "RAP", as soon as i choose one, these 3 buttons disappear and leaves me with only "KINZCHAT" where I only have an option of 9 preset sayings.

Where all these other sayings and "odd" chats are coming from is beyond me. ???

I guess it is just another infamous glitch.
