Over Thanksgiving, my family stayed in a hotel. They had 2 computers in the "business center" so 2 of us logged in to play atomicolicious.
After a bunch of moves, the screen was different for the other player than my screen. She continued to play and I continued to play. On my screen, her moves, which were good moves on HER screen, were lame-o nothing moves (fake ones, or like someone who is clueless about game). She actually won her game first but then it froze there. I took longer to win my game and then the thing finished for both of us. My screen said she lost and I won, her screen said she won and I lost.
It was really strange. We didn't have time to repeat the experiment. -- RainbowBrie and Cloudy
Interesting! I've been wondering why some games just "hang" for a while before going back to the scoreboard. Especially since the other player has never quit out, even when they've supposedly lost. I'd figure at least some players would go in search of their next game rather than watch Goober blink. Hasn't happened. Same for the "clueless" moves - you'd think that an inexperienced player would quit out of frustration rather than fail so miserably, but I've seen a bunch of people stick with it to the end.
I'll have to keep a closer eye on this. Very interesting possibilities. Thanks!
I've been having the games hang up at the end and refuse to move. I've also had plays freeze and not allow the other player to continue. I wonder if all the play since they fixed the timing out problem has made Goober crazier and crankier than he already is!
