Once you get all your candy and are ready to carve your pumpkin, please note that you do not have to design it inside the Clubhouse or Coral Cove. An uncarved pumpkin will appear in your dock, and you can take it into a room inside your house to design it.
This information will be a big help for people having trouble with computer crashes while ghost hunting and candy collecting. It will also help with room congestion inside the Clubhouse and Coral Cove. If you design your pumpkin inside your house, you will open up a valuable ghost hunting spot for a pet from one of your other accounts or for someone else still trying to get all their candy. You can also take your time carving the design that's perfect for you!
This information is courtesy of a technical representative at Ganz with whom I spoke this afternoon. I had completed my candy collecting mission and designed my pumpkin while sitting at Coral Cove. My computer froze the instant before I could click "save." I was distraught to see a plain uncarved pumpkin in my dock after all the hard work I'd put into ghost hunting.
Once inside your house, you will see the pumpkin icon in the bottom right corner of your screen. This is the same icon that appears in the Clubhouse and Coral Cove. Click on it to open up your Candy Cupboard, then follow the directions to design and save your newly carved pumpkin!

I wouldn't have thought that you didn't have to do it right then and there. That's great news. | | | 10-29-2009, 10:40 PM | #3 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 2,043 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin Thank you for posting this info! | | | 10-30-2009, 04:20 AM | #4 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 353 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin If I hadn't called Ganz, I never would have thought to take the pumpkin into the room to carve it. Guess I've been so busy ghost hunting since last weekend that I didn't even notice the pumpkin icon when I went inside any of my rooms. __________________ | | | 10-30-2009, 04:25 AM | #5 | homekinz Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2009 Posts: 1,026 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin Originally Posted by allthatshimmerz If I hadn't called Ganz, I never would have thought to take the pumpkin into the room to carve it. I wonder how long we will have the option to carve? I'd like to leave the pumpkins for the grandchildren to carve but they probably won't get online until Thanksgiving break. | | | 10-30-2009, 08:34 AM | #6 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Nov 2008 Posts: 375 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin Great info to know. Thanks!
I had seen posted that you couldn't move it once you had put it in your room. Do you know if it can be moved? Or if it can be kinzposted?
Thanks! | | | 10-30-2009, 09:26 AM | #7 | Gifted Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 543 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin The pumpkin can be moved around in your room, or removed like any other object.
I have seen others say that the pumpkin cannot be kinzposted.

Thanks! Because it is customizable it cannot be transferred to another account. Much like the Caring Valley Trees. | | | 10-30-2009, 09:49 AM | #9 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 73 | Re: News about carving your pumpkin Originally Posted by home50 Leave it to you to know the latest information

I too was wondering how long we will be able to carve the pumpkin. Also, it sounds like you can only carve the pumpkin once. Is that correct? Thanks everyone for all of the help and information! | | | 10-30-2009, 10:03 AM | #10 | oo hoo!
