thought I would post some do's and dont for The Fall Festival

Do’s and Don’t for Fall Festival

Do Make extra meals ahead of time or have a stack of takeout menus available
(telephone cooking at its best)
Don’t allow dh to invite friends or family for a get together where you would
Be expected to make a huge meal NOT GONNA HAPPEN

Do have an alternate mouse or clicker available in case of emergency…..
Don’t think your mouse will withstand all the clicking in may spontenously combust

Do know how to set up alternate multi-screens on your computer monitor
For maximum clickage
Don’t have 4 computers with one webbie account each on each screen
This may case injuries or as you leap across the table to get a leaf

Do have an alternate person to pick up kiddos from school
(preferably someone who is non webkinz addicted)
Don’t tell your kiddos that hitchhiking is okay just for this week

Do have an Asian account if you can (24 hr earlier clickage) YEAH
Don’t only have an Asian account (ends 24 hrs earlier)

Do your chat thread prior to Fallfest starting so you are not clicking and typing
This message at the same time
Don’t not do your chat thread as there still maybe people new to WI
That are wondering why there is so many (…..CRICKETS on the WI GEDCT….)

Do ensure you are fully bathed and showered prior to this event since this is not
Gonna happen again for 7 days be kind to others sometimes deodorant doesn’t cut it
Don’t think the sprayer on your kitchen sink can substitute for a shower
It may scare the kiddos and wreck your computer

Do enough money (KC) in your WW account to make sure your pets can
Go to the spa to be replenished because they will be no time to feed them
Each separately.
Don’t forget to get real world money for the telephone cooking delivery man

Do your webkinz garden prior to this event this is optional since its Fall
And gardens usually die anyway
Don’t be surprised if your real world garden dies during this event as well

Do use your sick days at work sparingly during this event we want you to still have a job when this is over.
Don’t use all your sick days at once as your boss may secretly be a webkinz addict
As well and know exactly why you are phoning in.

Do have a great message or call display on your phone so you can screen calls if needed
Or not answer at all
Don’t take your phone off the hook in case the alternate pickup for your children are calling or your contact at the webbie store is calling you about a new shipment..

Do have an alternate available for bathroom breaks
Don’t think you can bring you camper potty in the house and that will work
As a chair… PAMPERS IS NOT AN OPTION EITHER…


Do make sure to stretch at least once per hour Trust me on this one
Don't think you will not be clicking in your sleep and clicking on everything that moves
in the next few days even after Fall Festival is over lol

Angel, gld you posted these. we had some good laughs listing them and so will everyone else. Unfortanely some of us had to learn from experience, I wish I had this list for the first one. lol

Can't wait to try to squeeze some chat here inbetween catching leaves, doable if they keep the 6 min fly time.

Here's a couple more do's and don't to add to your list.

Do teach your interns how to do the laundry
especially since they will be the only ones getting their clothes dirty.

If they can either reach or see into the machines,
then they are good to go.

This also teaches team work,
"Hey, Mom said, I am supposed do to the soap
and you turn the knobs!"

"Great Job! and don't forget to add Fabric Softener Sheets in the dryer!
Woohoo! Got another leaf!"

Do also teach them how to fold and sort real laundry
because this will be a huge help when you are trying to design your WW house
with all the new Fallfest items and when you are trying to figure out
how to store 100 cornucopias and placements...

Don't forget to go food shopping at least 2 days
(3 days would be better) before the Fallfest,
because you know it is going to rain cats and dogs
forcing you to split your list in half and go early Friday morning forcing you
to miss all those early Asian leaves because the store is swamped at 9 am
with all those crazy soccer moms and preschoolers and there is only 2 registers open.

Don't forget to write the interns school lunches tickets
before Fallfest, not during because it is impossible to write checks
and hand the mouse to them without losing several leaves.

"Mom, I need lunch money!"
startled...and missed leaf...

"Umm...you should be fine"
darn missed that one...

"NO, I am not, the teacher said I can't charge lunch any more"
Oh come on..how did I miss that one

"Get my pocketbook, and then you take the mouse and click anything that moves"
Goodbye little leaf again...

This should be put on the list for Grandparents:

Do tell your children you are going on vacation for a week and can't babysit.
Don't answer the phone or you will be caught in a lie and your grandchildren will think you don't want them to come over...lol.

True story: The morning after fallfest '08 had come and gone, I wandered half-asleep into the kitchen, viewed multi-colored leaves floating to the ground through the bay window, raised my hand (holding a non-existent mouse) and CLICKED! DD screamed in delight!
