Intro to "Kat and the Webkinz"
First, let's answer a question. Why'd the first thread close? Did it go too long without a reply? I don't think the fans would let that happen. Did I do something bad? A lot of WI members would DIE if I left. So what did happen? Well, you guys loved the thread so much, it got so BIG and had to get closed! So, I hold the award for "First Meet My Webkinz Family Thread to Get Closed Due to Size." So, yay me. XD I did also hold the award of oldest picture thread still alive, but that slipped out of my fingers.

Well, at least I held it for what, 16 days? XDDD

Well, it's not the actual end of it, it's just the beginning of a new generation of awesomeness! And we will still party on July 11! WOO! 7/11! And, everything will be continued from the original thread. So the Picture This News episode will be the episode number after the last one from the original thread. Got it?

Alright, let's get on topic. One summer day, I went for a visit to WI, and I stumbled across their new forum, the "Meet My Webkinz Family" forum, which they had added while I was gone from WI. So, I take a look inside. I noticed all these threads about pictures and adventures of the members' Webkinz. I eventually spent my night looking at a bunch of them. So, I must admit, all of the WI members have inspired me. Eventually, I took a bunch of random pictures of my Webkinz, and put them on WI. Eventually, I started posting more and more, and eventually, I loved it. And, a lot of WI loved it.

And let me say first, both of the "Kat and the Webkinz" threads combined have the MOST pictures in picture thread HISTORY. I don't care what all the other picture thread owners might say, but Kat and the Webkinz contains the MOST pictures. If you deny it, then who else had to start a 4th PhotoBucket account? Who else needed to get a new hard drive because of all the pictures within a month of starting?

Katie is my real name, but I felt after a while that Kat would be a good little WI name for me, even thought my username is Blackie_Lab2003. So, you can call me Kat, Katie, Kit Kat, Black, Blackie, Blackie_Lab, Black Lab, Kate, whatever.

Alright. So this thread is about me, and my Webkinz. My Webkinz mostly. I post about them, and their adventures. And from time to time I will let them come on and talk to you guys, and I tell what they're up to. And let me tell you right now, my Webkinz will probably be some of the most unique you'll ever meet. Lily the Whimsy Dragon is aggressive and is stalked and lectured by a Barbie doll, her long-lost twin, Nick the Emperor Dragon, follows her, and she has a sidekick, Joey, the Lil' Monkey. There's also Nicole the Pink and White Dog, who has OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), mostly with cleaning. She HATES germs and everything has to be as clean as possible. Luckily, she has an understanding BFF, Lacey the Yellow Lab, who can fly and teaches other Webkinz how to fly. There's also Lucky Love the Love Frog who is understanding of Autistic Webkinz, and who is very loving and LOVES to give hugs. Then there's also Maya the Parakeet, a Webkinz with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), who can't pay attention to anything and is always daydreaming! And, then there's one of the most loved Webkinz in the family, Sophie the Lil' Persian. She was diagnosed with OFD (Obsessive Food Disorder), so she ALWAYS wants food! Others may say that their Webkinz have OFD, but really, Sophie is the first and only to have it. None other Webkinz have symptoms as serious as Sophie to be diagnosed with OFD. Sophie also has a big brother, Salem the Black Cat, who can get real silly sometimes. And let me tell you, that is just the beginning!

So, I managed to post over 5,000 pictures in 6 months, so let's get another few thousand for WI to enjoy!

Kat's Mansion:
Well, my Webkinz house isn't much of a house, it's a mansion! Call it a mansion! Just kidding. You don't have to. There's some pretty cool rooms in there. If you wanna stop by, just ask me! (Please understand if I can't have you over.) Plus, it will become virtual updates on this thread!

Updates:
The last thread had a lot of updates, so this one will have a lot of updates most likely too! Anyway, I do real-life and virtual updates, and I used to do video, but I do not do video anymore. Real-life is taken on my Nikon Coolpix camera, and virtual is screenshots edited on Paint.NET.
I tend to post an update every holiday, Webkinz adoption, Webkinz birthday, weekend (Lacey's Blog and PTN), and a party for every 10th Webkinz I get.

Lacey's Blog and Picture This News:
I do 2 things weekly: Lacey's Blog and Picture This News. Lacey's Blog is on Saturday (moved to Sunday if missed) and Picture This News is on Sunday (moved to Monday if missed or cancelled for the week). Lacey's Blog is a post hosted by Lacey where she tells what happened to her over the week. So every Saturday is Lacey's Saturday now! Picture This News is when the PTN crew tells Webkinz News (Sir Charlie), tell news on me (Kat News; Snickerdoodle and Sir Edmund), Weather in my town (Sir Charlie), and a (SpongeBob) joke of the week (Hopkinz, Campbell, and Chadwick). And that's basically it...

Fake Kats:
Unfortunately, I have so far found 1 person who has pretended to be me on another site. Let me say right now, I WILL NOT be posting my work on another site, but I may post some pictures on my YouTubes for Webkinz, BlackLabsLikeRuleDog and WebkinzBlackLabs, and maybe my Blogger blog. If you see anyone that posts my work on another website, please PM me! I will tell you if that's me or not, but it will most likely not be me. I will post a bulletin if I find any new fakes.

The Story of How I Started on Webkinz

Yes, I remember the day. I remember it was a Saturday too. I remembered it was the night too. Because that was my birthday party. I invited 5 friends (including one's little sister). We all were crazy, and hyper. We threw my stuffed ferret around the car, and the girls in the back made him wave to the cars in back of us, and blow kisses to them. Yep, she's crazy. Anyway, when we got home, we finally opened presents. In one bag, I pulled out a poodle plushie. Not just a poodle plushie. It had a blue tag on it, saying "Webkinz." It was from a friend with the little sister that came along. The girls explained how Webkinz are stuffed animals that had a virtual pet side on the Webkinz website. My little brother started talking about Webkinz too. He said that his friend had one, and he wanted one. I was in shock. All these years, I dreamed of plush animals having a virtual pet side in a game world. My dream pet was right in front of me, and even my brother knew it existed before.
After presents, we had my Fudgie the Whale cake. I had the poodle sit right next to my plate. Sadly, she got a small chocolate stain on the furry, soft part on her leg, or paw. Whatever. The part that was right above her paw. While we were eating cake, I asked my friends for some cute, French name suggestions. They suggested great names. A bunch of them said Paris, like Paris, France, but I wasn't into that name. Because I didn't want to make my first Webkinz feel like she was named after dumb Paris Hilton. Then I heard the perfect name, "Chloe." I just loved it. I announced to my friends that I would name her Chloe. Then I asked who suggested my name. I found out that my mom suggested that name.
Then my friend's little sister and I went to my mom's laptop in the living room, which was the closest computer with internet by. We got on, and I went to adopt Chloe. My friend's little sister was giving me instructions. I carefully took off her tag. Then I placed the ribbon around Chloe's neck. I chose the username of SquidwardLover, because it was a common, yet old username choice of mine.
Then, my mom started yelling for me to come with her to drop off the rest of my friends.
I got in the front seat with not just my stuffed ferret, but Chloe too.
I even brought her with me when I came out of the car to say "Bye" to my friends.

The next day, I got my very first trophy. You guessed it. It was Webkinz Day 2007. I came just in time for the 2nd anniversary, which I was happy about.
To this day, the trophy and frame still lie in Chloe's room.

A few days later, I had already showed my mom the list of Webkinz retailers, and we were going to Cardsmart to get my brothers their first Webkinz. One got a Googles, which he named Quackers, and the other got a Lil' Frog, which he named Sean.
Then, I saw the cutest little Persian cat, so I said "Why not?".

And from then on, I was addicted...

3/29/09: I will now end the updates differently, for someone told me I should. It was a good idea! So now if people don't notice that and forget to edit it out when stealing my content, people will know that something's up. Also, the thread...it has been updated! Also, there will not be a 3rd thread until further notice, but I will do all the April stuff.

Second, front page updated. Third, on Thursday, I'll be messin' with my friends for the WHOLE weekend. I'll be on a few times, but I'll be doing crazy stuff. I'm having a birthday party on Thursday with friends in town, I'll have them sleepover, then Friday night I'm going out of town to another friend's house to have another birthday party (joint with her brother) with friends out of town, and I'll be staying there until Sunday. So, it'll be a crazy weekend. But the thing is, I'm asking friends in town for Webkinz, and I'll be going to the mall with my friends out of town, which will involve more Webkinz. So yay!
4/16/09: BIG NEWS! First of all, my friend got me a Domino Cat. Welcome, Stephiannalin! Also, the Sailor Moon plagiarizing issue has been RESOLVED! My content has been removed! Thanks for support that possibly helped!
4/19/09: I came back early yesterday. Today my dad got me 2 new Webkinz for my birthday! Mandy the Grey Squirrel and Debbie the Lil' Seahorse are FINALLY here!

A: This is an extremely popular thread. It is going to happen. If it happens, I'll let you guys know when you can see the pictures again. PhotoBucket is the only service that will work for me, so don't try convincing me to switch. And I will not pay PhotoBucket.

Q: Why is your other thread closed?
A: The amount of posts that a thread has to have to be considered too big and has to be closed is 1,000. The old one was 5 times that size. I didn't realize that until early February, because the WI staff is cool and knew I wasn't ready yet.

So, you guys loved it so much that it got so big and had to be closed!

Q: What's your WW user?

Q: Your thread is so big! Nobody visits my thread. How to I make it better?
A: I wasn't popular in the beginning either. But I guess I was in the right place at the right time with the right ideas. I don't know. But the thing is, you want your updates to be unforgettable. Well, at least part of it. Well, first, you need to make sure your pics are as clear as possible. Second, make sure your captions are readable, like mine. But there is a secret ingredient, and I recently found it officially. What's the secret ingredient? When Webkinz interact. KKF brought it to my attention that she liked the long updates where the Webkinz interacted. A very good example of this is the update "The Journey to the Computer" on the old thread. If you haven't seen that update or don't remember it, that's when Lily, Joey, and Franny went to the computer to watch SpongeBob episodes, and ran into a lot of trouble on the way, and that's when I introduced Barbie. People loved it a lot more than the other update I did the same weekend. Another excellent example is "Lacey and Shuffle: Friend or Foe?" which I did when I realized that people liked these kinds of updates more. And also, now I realize, that the update that really made the thread start to go up in popularity was "The Sleepover," where I brought my Webkinz cats to sleep over at my friend's house. I did a lot of stuff, but what the people really liked was the story around the end where Sophie learned how to share. People like it when Webkinz interact, and don't forget to add some comedy!

Q: How do you do all this?/How do you make a picture thread like this?/How do you post your pics on WI?
A: Go look under the Behind the Scenes update. (Look under List of Updates.) It shows EVERYTHING I do. If your question isn't answered there, then you can try to ask me, but I most likely can't help you farther than what that update explains.

Q: Can I make pet bios like yours too?
A: Sure. A lot of people do it now too. If you see any bios like mine, you'll know I've inspired them.

Q: You're good at graphics! You should make a graphics shop!/Do you have a graphics shop?/Will you make a graphics shop.
A: NO!!!!!! I get enough banner requests just being the picture thread owner with the fancy banner.

If I start a shop, I'll lose my mind and do less of this.

Q: Are you going to post all the other updates from the other thread onto here?
A: NOOOOOO! There is no way I am going to post over 300 updates, which is over 5,000 pictures, onto this thread when it's still on WI and a link can be posted to it instead. This a CONTINUATION thread. If you'd like to see links to all the old updates, go to the thread, and go to page 6. It was updated the second the last update was posted.

Q: Who made your banner?
A: I did, but I won't be taking anymore requests. I'm too busy. (And that also means that I won't be making a banner shop.)

Q: What's Carnation's diagnosis?
A: He doesn't really have one. He has short term memory loss, yet he does excellent in school, so he can't really be diagnosed with anything.

All of the Webkinz are unique;
Have you ever met stuffed animals that could speak?

Poor Carnation's forgetful,
he can hardly remember his name!
Nick's a friendly dragon
with whom Lily will never play a game.

Reporting news each week,
Sir Charlie's on the scene!
Nicole's favorite line is:
"I GOTTA CLEAN!"

Sophie's always hungry;
she has this disease called OFD
Salem helps her with her cravings
and entertains the others with his comedy.

They all go on adventures,
doing stunts and such.
Apparently Boat Rides and Fake Webkinz Squirrels
are not, for the pets, too much!

So let's remember the past-
but also that we have to move on.
So, here's to the next generation

What My Webkinz Do at My House

What do my Webkinz do? Well, this stuff...

Here's Lily and her partner, Joey. Her long-lost twin, Nick, and Barbie are bothering her.

My comedian, Salem, is telling jokes to Frosty Bumble, Micheal, and Sir Edmund.

Here Salem is helping Sophie, my Lil' Persian with OFD (Obsessive Food Disorder) get a snack.

Here Barbie is helping Maya with her ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and Sophie with her OFD.

Here's Lucky Love, my hugging Webkinz, hugging Miss McLovin.

Here is Lucky Love, the Webkinz who is a teacher, is telling Dasher, my Santa-loving Webkinz who helped him last Christmas, about Santa.

Here are Phil and Lil, my twins, arm wrestling.

Jenny is a Judge, so she is doing some paperwork.

Here is Nicole, my Webkinz with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) and her BFF, Lacey, a Webkinz who flies and believes others can fly, washing paws. Nicole washes her paws A LOT, and Lacey's understanding of her OCD.

Lacey, my flying Webkinz, is teaching others how to fly.

And here's Koko, my artistic Webkinz, who is looking at her drawings of Gary from SpongeBob.
