Welcome to Meh Thread!

Hey, and welcome to my Webkinz family thread! You're probably here for one of many reasons. You could be here because you're an already diehard and dedicated fan, or maybe you clicked my signature on one of my posts, or this was on the first page of new posts. But, whatever the reason, you are here, and by now you are probably wondering what the heck this is. Well, this. Is. Sara and the Webbies.

Sara and the Webbies is a thread dedicated to my Webkinz and their wild and wacky adventures. Every few days, I will post an entry (more commonly known as an "update") of pictures of my Webkinz, and captions that tell the story! I know, pretty cool. But I didn't invent this concept; it was started by Karebare36, and there are many other picture-threaders, so if you want to start something like this, feel free.

Here is the somewhat long and rambly, but interesting, story of how I started Webkinz, Webkinz Insider, and picture threading. Waaaaay back in 2006, a family friend came over and stayed with us, and gave my sister and I each stuffed animals. They stayed on the shelf for a long time, until one of my friends showed me the Webkinz that she had when I went to her birthday party. She explained how you logged the tag onto the computer, and all the cool stuff you could do. As soon as I got home, I took the tags off of my hippo and started my very own Webkinz account. I also put my sister's Pig on my account, because I thought the codes were re-usable (whoops), so my sister let me gain possesion of the Pinky the pig. I joined WI in June of 2008, but didn't become interested in picture threading until a few monts later. See, I had a thread in the Meet My Webkinz Family Section listing the names of my Webkinz, and I went to check on it one day, and accidentally clicked the wrong thread (Hi, koalakinzforever). I was going to press back, but then I saw pictures of Webkinz, and began reading all of the captions. Soon enough, I had devoured the whole thread. I became so inspired by her thread, that I decided to create one of my own! And this brings us full-circle to this loverly thread you are reading.

Let me talk to you about my Webkinz family. Oh. my. goodness. You will probably never meet Webkinz as "special" as mine. They are all very unique, and have their own little personalities. For instance, Bill is afraid of germs, Tyco can get pretty bossy at times, and Ginkgo can not talk in any form other than Haiku. Most of my Webkinz share a constant interest in hurting me in order to get their names mentioned at the end of an update, but I do have a few therapists that (sometimes) keep the peace.

Sara is my real name, which I never meant to give away in the first place (Maybe I should've tried not putting my name in my username then, LOL.

). But people started shortening Sararoxmysox to Sara, assuming it was my real name, which it is. I've decided to just go with it, so you can just call me Sara.

Every now and then, my Lil' Kinz Pig Wiggles will post an entry to his "blog", and let you know what is going on in the Sararoxmysox family's life. If you are looking for old entries, check the Update Archive for anything marked "Wiggles's Blog". I thought that this would be a fun little way to keep you informed on my life, and the lives of my Webbies.

Picture Threader Interviews

A fairly new feature! Every now and then, I will post an update that is an interview with one of WI's beloved picture threaders! If you would like to be interviewed, all you have to do is post or PM me saying so. I will PM you the questions, and that is how the exchange will go: through PM. There will be 10 questions. Then, I will invite you to my house on Webkinz (so yes, you must be on my friends list, thus telling me your WW ID in some form or another) for a picture in the room I have custom-designed to fit your personality! Please note: you must have a currently open picture thread to apply. If your thread closes, and you have not yet been interviewed, you will be temporarily taken off the list until your thread is re-opened. Each person who signs up will only get a total of one interview. And also, I draw randomly who will go next...there is no real order. If you are looking for old interviews, just look for anything marked "Picture Threader Interviews" in my Update Archive.

Webkinz Exchange Program

The Webkinz Exchange Program is a concept that Koalakinzforever and I created in the summertime of 2009. Basically, it is a special between two picture threaders, in which one Webkinz from one family will trade places with another Webkinz from another family, and then each threader posts pictures of the visiting Webbie's stay! I don't really care if you use the idea, just as long as you give some credit to Koalakinzforever and I.

So who the heck are the others?

I have some other characters that pop up every now and then.

Lola: My real-life Black Lab mix. She is extremely goofy and unpredictable, so she doesn't always do what I want in updates.

Corky: My non-Webkinz stuffed pig I've had since the fourth grade. He is very bold. Unfortunately, Wiggles finds Corky very annoying and therefore doesn't like him very much.

Tofu: My Mouse Kinz Klip. He is Claire's sidekick, and fellow criminal. The poor mouse is a kleptomaniac, just like his Full-Size comerade.

Laffy: My Bratty Zum! I forget what his real name is, but I named him Laffy and that is that.

LOL. He is fun loving, and always willing to lend a hand.

Caro's Kinz!: My sister, Caro,a lso collects Webkinz, and sometimes if I need an extra character or two, I'll include hers...but not as much now that she has a thread of her own.

Sundays...I'm not *supposed* to go on the computer...but I still go on...hehe?
