Introduction

Hi, there! Welcome to Carly and the Kinz! Maybe some of you might already know me, but I’m Carly. I’m the owner of Cricket’s thread, “Learning to Love”. In my spare time on WI, I love to look at picture threads and read about other Webkinz’s adventures, so I thought, “Why not make my own picture thread for me and my Webkinz?” Thus, here we are; me and my Webkinz, with our very own MMWF picture thread!

The Segments

Plushy Picture Stories & Virtual Picture Stories
Plushy picture stories are picture stories with the plush version of Webkinz. Virtual picture stories are picture stories with the virtual version of Webkinz. Sometimes, these picture stories can sort of “change” into each other, perhaps when my plushy Webkinz play online and then show what they’re doing on Webkinz World through a virtual update.

A Walk Around
“A Walk Around” is supposed to be just like a news update, but the host, Smudgie the Webkinz Dalmatian, has basically turned it into her very own blog. In these type of updates, Smudgie shows the readers what’s going on with the rest of the Webkinz family, herself, and sometimes me. On rare occasions, Smudgie will even barge into—I—I mean…talk about the lives of other non-Webkinz stuffed animals. These updates always include pictures.

Learning To Love
I used to have a thread specfically for this called "Learning to Love: Cricket's Story". It's about my Signature Timber Wolf, Cricket, who has a rare disease called RFD. These updates are based on that thread, and are all about Cricket and I trying to cure the incurable disease. "Learning to Love" updates are posted randomly, and basically just alert the readers on how Cricket is improving or not improving.

Welcome Home, [Blank]!
Whenever I adopt a new Webkinz, I’ll make an update about it for this thread. I’ll usually show a few virtual pictures and a few plushy pictures, and then I’ll talk about the new Webkinz’s traits and qualities.

Happy Birthday, [Blank]!
When a Webkinz’s birthday comes along, I always celebrate since I don’t have many Webkinz and don’t plan on getting too many. The celebration is shown as its own little update on Carly and the Kinz.

Surveys
On random occasions, I’ll decide that it’s time to post a survey asking questions about the thread. All you have to do is quote the survey in a reply and include your answers to the questions. You obviously don’t have to do the surveys if you don’t want to. And by the way, I love constructive criticism (as long as it’s not too mean), so feel free to criticize. I take nothing personally.

Quizzes
Quizzes come along at random times like surveys, but instead of asking questions about opinions, it asks questions with real answers. The questions can be anything from “What’s [this Kinz’s] favorite color?” to “In what update did we discover…” To find the answers, you have to explore my thread and look at past updates, unless you remember the answers already.

In the Future...

A NEW THREAD IS COMING!
On January 1st, 2010 (New Year's Day) this thread will be closing to make way for a new thread sometime after February, most likely. The reason is because I'm going to be in my school's musical, hopefully (auditions are January 5; wish me luck), so I'm going to be dedicated to the rehearsals. I won't have much freetime for updates besides weekends, so I'm probably not going to have a new thread until the musical is over. Thanks for understanding! The new thread will definitly be out by April 2010; maybe March 2010. We'll see.

PS - I have lots of ideas for updates, and I'm probably going to have a bigger Webkinz family by April, so don't worry; I'll make it up to you guys. You're in for big surprises and a great thread.

Quick question -- I'm new so I don't know how to post pictures so they show up in the post and you don't have to click on a link to see them. How do I do that??

^First take some pics with your camera. Then upload them to your computer. If you'd like to edit them, use the program paint. Then go to tinypic.com and upload your pics. Click on "enlarged pic" and then right click on the picture, go to webkinzinsider.com, and paste it in.

And nice! It is very organized and well written. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait for pics!!!!!

1. How do I edit one of my posts? Or...can I?
2. How do I make a link to a certain spot on a page? Like, if I wanted to make a link for "Sunday Mornin' And Pancakes" how would I do that??
