This was my short story.....
It was a dark and stormy fall night. Sizzle Dragon was on his way home from practice. He had started out walking with his friends, and one by one they had turned into their homes until he was the last one left. Suddenly, he heard footsteps behind him! "I hope it's not that knight I heard about at school" he worried to himself. Everyone at school said there was a dragon-hunting knight out on the loose, just waiting for anyone out on their own. He picked up his pace. So did the footsteps! He started to run. So did the footsteps! He started looking for a hiding place as the steps drew nearer and nearer and nearer. He was starting to get tired of running! Suddenly, he felt a hand on his wing! Just as he was starting to scream, he heard, "What's wrong Sizzle?" It was his dad! "It was getting late and you weren't home yet, so I came to look for you," his dad explained. Sizzle let out a sigh of relief. "I'm fine," he told his dad. "Now" he thought to himself. |
