I, like most, I think, have been using the tutor and not practicing because at level 4 certain classes were too hard. Now at level 10 no tutor available and I can't seem to pass the weight lifting or running class. And I know the creativity class will be impossible. I just don't get how they expect kids to do these classes. Any tips from those who have been doing the courses woud be greatly appreciated.

I would love to get some input from someone who has tried classes at this level or even level 8 or 9 Last edited by superbat33; 03-14-2009 at 12:59 AM.. If you are using your lap top, many have suggested running a virus scan or playing a video or have something going in the background to slow down your computer.
Creativity is hit or miss with me, but I've been doing it so long I think I am actually learning something. There is a guide on creativity that tells you exactly what speed to have it for different shapes. Not sure if the sizes are there or not, too. I didn't want to look and try to take this class using my own mind.
My biggest problem is agility. This class I just cannot do and am tutoring until I have to play it and will just pray that I can pass some to eventually pass the class. But I've read on this board that this class is also easier using a slower computer.
Good luck! I love the prizes at the end and think it's well worth the aggravation.

I forgot to add that in the past month I passed strength, speed, creativity, and intelligence. Last edited by KLDKinzMom; 03-14-2009 at 09:57 AM.. It's best to try the class when you think there isn't much traffic on webkinz world. I almost didn't finish my last intelligence class for level 10 but it cleared up with about 20 seconds for me to match them all up. Fortunately, I had kept my cool and matched them in my head so was able to finish and receive my prize!
It's hard enough taking these classes without having to deal with the glitches of the website as well!
Good luck!!! | | | 03-14-2009, 10:43 AM | #5 | ill PM Gift Guru Join Date: May 2008 Posts: 4,978 | Re: Level 10 Academy Classes Originally Posted by KLDKinzMom I have no problems with strength and running because I use a slow desk top computer. I forgot to add that in the past month I passed strength, speed, creativity, and intelligence. Wow you are my hero... the scrabbled words are my nemesis I have pass it so many times just to have the game mess up and give me a miss. I did just great until I hit level ten now it is a contest to see how many days in a row I can miss it ... most I run out of time when I am down to one rep on strength and I have tried the tips. But my mom always said that I had tenacity so what's a few million in KC. So you must be very close to a diploma do you plan on sending others through the classes? If you do I would be interested in knowing how many classes the sheepskin saves on the other pets. Good luck everyone because I know I certainly will need it. | | | 03-14-2009, 11:53 AM | #6 | Gifted Join Date: Sep 2007 Posts: 1,885 | Re: Level 10 Academy Classes Originally Posted by Ergoiam Wow you are my hero... the scrabbled words are my nemesis I have pass it so many times just to have the game mess up and give me a miss. Tenacity is definitely what you need. Level 10 strength is hard even on my slow desk top since the marker where you release is so small. I drop the weights many times but having a five year old desk top has really been beneficial for this class.
The sad thing is I doubt I will be able to earn a diploma because of the agility class. I absolutely stink at that. My oldest son was doing them for me for a while but at level 7 he was failing quite a few classes. That's when I started tutoring. I will just keep trying at level 10 and hope eventually they will feel sorry for me and pass me or I will die of heart failure trying!
Sorry to hear that the Intelligence class being your Nemesis. I have always been very good with unscrambling words so it really makes me mad when the "please wait" glitch happens and doesn't release my computer in time for me to match up the words. So far I've only failed a few classes because of it, but it still is frustrating. I have realized, though, if you have matched up all the words and then the "please wait" shows up at the end, do not end the class. It will clear to the next screen and Ms. Cowaline will record your results. The time varies. At least it does on my computer. Patience is definitely a virtue with the kinzville academy.
It's nice that we have this forum to commiserate. | | | 03-14-2009, 10:28 PM | #7 | Gift Guru Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 1,661 | Re: Level 10 Academy Classes I find weight lifting very straightforward and have never tutored that class once, nor the running class. I think those two are the easiest to learn to do and make it through level 10. I haven't passed either one yet but I have 6 classes left to earn my first prize! (same with Intelligence, this for me is easy as I am really good at crossword puzzles and word games and have a great vocabulary!) I do find with a fast computer they work better for me- because even though the green bars to hit are really small, I can estimate by the speed of the marker exactly when it will hit the green area when it's faster. But that's just me.
I totally agree with KinzMom, Agility at Level 10 is near impossible, especially on a competent computer. I originally entered Level 10 about a month and a half ago and I've still got 43 classes left to get my first pet through it... it feels like it will take forever and the class is simply nerve-wracking.
However I did pass it today and I think I am learning what it takes to get through Level 10:
1. Your pet can run three speeds: slow, medium, fast. Never go less than medium speed for this level.
2. Use that "two-button" jump on the red hurdles and the dual hurdles (the jump where you hit the two direction buttons at the same time, up + right). This seems to get your pet over those tough hurdles but be prepared to slow your pet back to medium speed immediately afterwards.
3. Make sure you have no distractions before attempting this- you HAVE to hit the jump button at EXACTLY the right millisecond or you will not make the hurdle.
There's NO way a child could pass this, even a videogame whiz kid (which my 10-yr old son is, and even HE hates this class and cannot pass it). It shows you all the splatters and you pick the correct one and then you gage the amount of drops needed. So a huge thanks to them . I can do speed and style easy, my hubby does intelligence easy, and we both take turns winging agility. On my main American account 11 pets are at level 9 and I tutor most of them (level 8 on report card, I wish they would fix that so both class and report card say same level), and 1 has graduated style and is a level 10 on creativity. My Euro account has 2 pets covering 6 courses on level 10. I just graduated style tonight on the Euro and got 2 prize boxes, I tried everyway possible to open that second box without logging out!!! When I pulled it up into the room and chose a gift it then went to the blue disconnect box with whatever it says about logging you out, I then went up and hit the log out button and then said "no" and it put me back into ww and I still had the second box but when I pulled it into the room it would open the box but wouldn't let me select a prize. I finally had to log out and lost the second box . Last edited by Doggyfan; 03-14-2009 at 10:36 PM.. My mother did it-for one of her pets and one of mine.
I've..um..seen classes at Level 10 being done-the farthest I've gotton by myself is..probably 5. They are very hard(Creativity, anyways), but, using the tutor all the time is probably not the best idea since you won't know how to do it on Level 10.
You'll just have to try, try, again, I guess..sure, it'll cost a lot, but it's the webkinz version of private school-and they cost a lot too. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
