I am puzzled about this
Yes, you set the speed, get the paint, then put the paint on the spiining canvas for the first color, and then repeat for the second color (or 3rd when it gets to that). So, different speeds, different colors and different amounts of paint for each layer.

The trick is figuring out which color goes first.

Even trickier is when you can only see one color (because the color on the bottom is obscured). I am going to show some tips for that as well.

Thanks so much. Look forward to that tutorial. I went to your videos this morning hoping to see level 3 . I watched them on You Tube. Thanks again.

Default Re: Kinzville Academy Painting - Lots of Pictures

I will get videos up on level 3 eventually. Right now, I am trying to document with screen captures, which takes a bit of time (or more than you would want if you were watching a video).

I will continually add new pictures to my site as I get them.

I have to figure out how I am going to show the advanced levels, because there are a lot of combinations. But, I think that if I am able to put together 25 - 40 real good pictures (showing a range of examples), when you go to play, something similar to yours will be there.

The advanced levels have 2 aspects - one is deciding which color is on top (and the shading will help tell that), and the other is for a case where you can't see two colors at all - and there are strategies for hedging your bets. For instance, on this picture:

Click the image to open in full size.

I knew that one of them was a red, speed 11, with 6 paint drops. But for the other one, I can't see it at all. Since I know that it cannot be more than 4 paint drops (or else there would be a bit of splatter outside the center circle), I guessed 3 paint drops. Since I have no idea what the speed was, I guessed right in the middle (7). At worse case, the one that I can't see would have been speed 15 and drop 1, which means that I would have lost 4 points (8 half points) on speed and 1 point (2 half points) on drop.

As it was, I got a 16, meaning that I lost a total of 8 half points, but that is still good enough to pass on level 3.

So, you can use this chart to at least get a 10 out of 10 on the one you can see, and then hedge your bets based on what is left. There are times, though, when you could get beaten by it, though. If the only shape you can see is a single large circle (speed 1, paint 8), and you put speed 7 and paint 4 for the circle you can't see, you could lose 3.5 on speed (if the speed should have been 15) and 2 on paint (if the paint were supposed to be 8). That would give you 14.5 - still enough to pass on level 3 - but I think as the levels go up, your required score will continue to go up.

Hope that helps.

I found this the most frustrating one to do. I missed my guess, as you feared with a s:15 and d:1.

Still though, I'll have my level 4 in 2 days so we'll see what get's thrown at us then.

Also, so people understand the coding in the picture - since I will add more, the top one (R: S:11 - P:6) is for the first color put down and stands for Red paint, wheel speed 11, paint drops 6), and the bottom one is for the second color (R: S: 7 - P: 3) for Red, Speed 7, Paint 3.

I am not sure how I am going to annotate when there are 3 colors (or, even 4 if it get to that) - probably on the side. We'll see.

I added a video showing the mechanics of doing one on level 3. The clarity is not great - so I am going to upload one to my site where you can download the full video (at its highest resolution).

Wow. I think your tip about estimating the number of drops is really going to help me. I can't wait to try it out!!!

Thanks for your great advice Hamlet. I just reached the 2 colour level and with your good instructions I scored 20!

Before your help, I was spending 50KC and failing every time!

Well, if you are already to level 3, you haven't failed every time -- but I get your sentiment.

I hope the charts are helpful to everyone. The more you use it, the more you should be able to get maximum points on at least 1 of the shapes - then the trick is to be able to figure out the other shape. I think that as I get a few more screenshots, I will have a suitable amount of examples to reference.
