Also, if you click on the book on Ms Cowaline's desk at the academy, it will show you which classes unlock which actions.

To get an action, you have to complete level five of that specific class.

Style: Dance
Running: Roll over
Weightlifting: Flip
Painting: Blow a kiss
Intelligence: Hide eyes
Agility: Jump

Once a pet completes level 5, all the pets on that account will receive the action.
