Deluxe KVA Classes/Instruction screen pop ups

Well, when they first added the deluxe button, it was great! I could do all my classes and my deluxe extra class. Tonight, I was only able to complete ONE deluxe class. The rest were failed because of the instruction screen popping up and freezing. At first I just thought it was the creativity class. But it happened on my style class, too. Any one else with this issue? I'm using safari and that seemed to work better on my computer so i could avoid all the other "please wait" glitches that happened when I took the classes on firefox.

I hope it's just because of these goo goo berries and that things will get better when those are gone, but it doesn't make sense that it worked perfectly fine yesterday but today it's a mess.

I lost 200kc on one account trying to take the classes. I stopped trying on my other accounts.

I don't have the deluxe yet, but have been thinking I would get it next week, mainly so I can get the extra classes. But now I am not sure, the way Ganz can mess things up. Time will tell. Thanks for the heads up. As always WI is so very invaluable. A3

Yes, this has been happening to me too. It happened with weight lifting and painting. I also got the pile-o-puppies when I started the agility class, but they cleared up when I pressed the arrow key to start. There is no way to get rid of that instruction screen anymore (you used to be able to click the "i" button to get rid of it, but that no longer works).

I have not narrowed it down, but I think I will be doing my "extra" class before the other classes for the pet. It seems to have stopped the problem. I also wait until Ms. Cowoline is finished talking before I press the red button for the extra class (no more toggling for me between the "view" Report Card and "view" Sign Up Sheet to get her to stop talking).

I didn't know you could do the bonus class first! Thanks for the idea! I bet that will help! I have been waiting for her to stop talking and counting up to 5 or 10 between clicking different options and last night nothing worked. Now today, on my oldest son's account, everything worked fine. It's crazy. But tonight I will try to take the bonus class first and see if it works.

I had a weird pile of pets issue on the running class. My friend's pet is a lil kinz gold and white cat and it turned into a pile of orange cats! It looked really funny but I was able to complete the class.

I called ganz and they said that if you have an issue to take a screen shot and send an email to webkinzsupport@ganz.com. Give them a description of the issues you are having. When it started if you can remember. What browser you are using and what exactly is happening. You need to tell them your name, your screen name and your phone number so they can call you back.

They have been receiving calls and know there are issues but the more details you can give them, I think the better the chances of them figuring out what went wrong, when and how to fix it.


A3, You're very welcome for the information. I want to say that I think that the deluxe membership is well worth the money even with a broken extra job button. I feel they will eventually fix it and the other bonuses are very worthwhile. Tomorrow the deluxe wheel will be available to spin and has some great prizes on it. I have run into this problem as well over the past few weeks!! It's very frustrating since you've already paid for the class and there is NO WAY to remove the information screen! I do not have the deluxe account though, but it's happening to me as well....I've noticed that it happens when I am clicking the series of buttons too fast....I've played so many times I tend to just click all of the buttons too quick! I've tried slowing down and being more patient and it as not happened as often.

Thanks for the tip about calling GANZ....I think you're right, the more people who complain about it, the sooner it will be fixed!

I do not have Deluxe, but most of the time when I go to the employment office, the little Deluxe button is there, and Mrs. Cowoline says I'm too early. If I leave the employment office and return immediately, then I can do my job. Seems the Deluxe issue is affecting deluxe and regular members.

I got the instruction screen pop-up again today on my level 10 deluxe strength class. (I did the class first and waited until Ms. Cowoline stopped talking). I called customer support about it and the response I got was to log out and they would log into my account and see if they can reproduce the error on my account. Short of that, they would not submit anything to technical support. They also said that if they did it on my account and the instruction screen popped up, then they would reimburse me 50KC; but they would not reimburse me 50Kc if it happened to me!

She could not reproduce the error today with my pet on level 10 strength because I had already had the class marked as a failure and she had no way of "canceling out" the failure. She wants me to call back tomorrow. I am very hesitant to do that because she will want my password (this has happened before). Also, I went through with her going to the painting class before Ms. Cowoline stops talking, and she did not get the instruction screen pop-up. The problem probably lies within the transfer of data and she is so close to the server and probably inside the main firewall at the company, that the instruction screen probably won't pop-up for her on my account with her computer at her location. She asked if I had another computer that I could do that class on and also asked if I could do it on Firefox. I explained to her that I do have a faster computer, but I could never pass a level 10 strength class on it because the weights drop in a millisecond. I also told her that both Firefox and Internet Explorer do not respond well to my mouse clicks in the class and the only way I have found to pass it is to use Goggle Chrome on my slower computer.

I also asked if I would get an appology if they flunked my class for me! LOL!

Thanks for trying. The last time I called which was a while ago, the ganz rep told me that it's an issue with my computer because they have no issues when they take the classes and can't duplicate the problems. It's so frustrating. Tonight I failed two classes because of the instruction screen popping up and I've been waiting until she stopped her big long speech and then wiggled her ears. <sigh> The more they add to webkinz, the more glitches there are.

It actually happened again to me since the last time I posted in this thread. It happened with the strength class and the intelligence class (that was the very first time ever that it has happened to me with an intelligence class). I don't think it is a computer issue. I switched from doing those classes from Google Chrome to Internet Explorer, and I haven't had the problem since (I still have to wait until the cow has stopped talking). I think it is an issue with how the files load onto the computer and how the internet web browser handles the files. Both times that the instruction screen popped up, I was watching the upload and download to the web browser and both times all of the files had been completely downloaded onto my computer; but the instruction screen still popped up on the deluxe classes using Goggle Chrome. I did call customer support again and the rep said that they have new instructions when this happens. She wanted me to call my internet service provider (ISP) and find out the bandwidth on my connection and email it to them along with what ISP I had. I think they have totally gone wacky! Shouldn't the programming be compatible with all bandwidths that fall within their minimum requirements? I would think so! I have a high speed DSL connection. It is not a bandwidth problem! JMO!
