You just get credit for completing the class. I have put off sending anymore pets because I don't want to waste the money. | | | 09-08-2009, 02:44 AM | #4 | bubbleteapot Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,084 | Re: Cooking and grooming class question You get no additional prizes, so don't waste your time and KC. __________________ Chocolate started it all! | | | 09-08-2009, 03:03 AM | #5 | oohoo!!! And the more levels you finish, the fewer classes your other webbies will have to take in those levels.
There's a bunch of weird math involved, but after a certain number of webbies pass through levels and graduate, the number of classes that your other webbies must take in each level corresponds to the number of the level......... 1 class for the first level, 2 classes for the second level, etc. It's confusing, but it's true.
And don't forget about being able to take recess!!!!!!! | | | 09-08-2009, 06:56 AM | #6 | Beauty Schl Dropout Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 669 | Re: Cooking and grooming class question Originally Posted by auntjenny7 You may not get any extra prizes, but your webbies will eventually graduate. But if there's no additional prize for sending multiple pets through the talent classes, the lower number of classes doesn't really matter. Passing the talent classes isn't required to get a diploma, just the 6 basic classes. | | | 09-08-2009, 09:28 AM | #7 | yournotme Gift Guru Join Date: May 2007 Posts: 2,828 | Re: Cooking and grooming class question There is one benefit of sending pets through these classes that is if you wish to enter into the stadium competitions these courses are a must have for any kinz. | | | 09-08-2009, 04:35 PM | #8 | Beauty Schl Dropout Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2008 Posts: 669 | Re: Cooking and grooming class question Actually, neither the Cooking or Grooming are needed to enter the stadium competitions. The Pro Cooking requires the pet to be through Level 5 Creativity and the Pro Beauty Pageants require the pet to be through Level 5 Fashion. Other than those requirements, it's thought to be pretty much random as to how pets place in both the Open and Pro competitions. | | | 09-08-2009, 06:24 PM | #9 | bubbleteapot Webkinz :) Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 1,084 | Re: Cooking and grooming class question Originally Posted by auntjenny7 You may not get any extra prizes, but your webbies will eventually graduate. And don't forget about being able to take recess!!!!!!! The math is actually quite simple: each time a pet completes a class (level 10), the number of classes required for the next pet is reduced by 20%. So the first pet to do level 1 does it five times, level 2 10 times, level 3 15 times, etc. Once that pet is finished level 10, the second pet does level 1 4 times, level 2 8 times, level 3 12 times, etc. When the second pet is finished level 10, the third pet does level 1 3 times, level 2 6 times, level 3 10 times, and so on. Each subsequent pet reduces the number of classes by 20 %, until the fifth pet does level 1 just once, level 2 twice, level 3 3 times, etc.
But as already said, there really is no point taking a second pet through a talent course. It's possible that a future competition may be influenced by a talent course, so you could send that one pet who did the class to that competition. Perhaps have one pet who has done all the classes, and that's the pet who enters all the competitions.
Earn your recess on classes that actually give you a prize. __________________ Chocolate started it all! | | | 09-08-2009, 10:36 PM | #10 | oohoo!!! To quote Winnie the Pooh, "I'm a bear of very little brain..."
I may be an intelligent adult, but the mind of the Ganz wizard who comes up with some of this stuff will confound me every time!!!!!!!! I don't have to know exactly how these things work, I just need to know that they are true. | | | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
