Does Creativity matter in regular cooking competitions, not pro?

I have my Gray and white cat on level 5 of creativity. He is more of my art/strenght/running webkinz. My pig is on level 6 of Beauty and hair.

I always entered my pig in cooking competitions, (open) but she has 0 in creativity. Is that bad? Should I do creativity on hers too if I want to win? I am just talking about open competitons. I am really mad becasue I basicly wasted all my kinz kash getting to level 5 on my cat's when my pig is the one who needed it.

For open competition you don't need any Academy skills. I get upset by this at times when I try so hard, and send my pets to the Academy everyday, and someone with no Academy skills beats me with higher scores.

I have had a number of friends and family enter at the same time as me...and they don't send their pets to the Academy...and they have placed higher up than I have. Their letter will say the placed like 163, and mine would say I placed 2453...Grrrr and I am a level 9 Creativity Academy student!
