Thats really not fair! What if people can't have access to the Deluxe?

I agree with Stella. Ganz tends to use "better..." or "more..." of anything to draw more customers in. Sadly, this is business, and with the economy struggling, companies resort to this. I myself was disappointed when Ganz introduced the Deluxe Membership, because I was mistaken in thinking that you would only have to buy one pet a year to unlock Webkinz. I admit, I have bought charms and Kinz Style and Zumbuddies, but only because it seems that although just a pet unlocks a lot, other people are getting a lot more because they buy add ons. Pretty soon, the things you get with one pet will look even shabbier compared to what add ons unlock. It's a shame. Webkinz is a highly developed website, and while these add ons unlock more, they take away from the main purpose of the website: for children (and adults) to have fun playing with a virtual pet. Although I do not have children of my own, I can imagine how the pressure must be for parents to buy their children each new thing on Webkinz, just so their kids can have a good time.

I had to check our 2 Deluxe accounts who go to the Academy. Here are our statistics:
DD (member since 07) has a pet that has level 10 finished Fashion, Intelligence, Cooking and Creativity. This same pet has entered 416 fashion shows and NEVER placed better than 500 in the all entry, and never better than the 90’s in the pro. My pet has finished Fashion and Creativity and has never placed better than 600 in any of the 183 all entry fashion shows and I have never entered pro.
After your post, I did go watch the video and my personal feeling is that Ganz means the extra academy class allowed if the member is Deluxe. Clearly based on our 2 Deluxe Academy attending accounts, it does not make a difference.
The stadium was the one event that I felt my DD worked really smart with her time management to at least once - just place 10th? She used to go way overboard and bath, dress, be on line to navigate different outfits, and for what? Big let downs! Me, I laugh at it because one of these days I am going to win and they will hear me all the way in Canada
I have quite often wondered why the same pets keep winning as well?

Thanks for telling me about this, I don't think its fair for them to do that. For people that worked so hard to win.. and some people can't afford to pay for the Deluxe membership!

i always wonder when i finished all 6 (level 10)main classes & still have yet to place lower than 224. i thought that would move me higher but it didn't

I'll keep my eye out on whether I place well or not. I've only been a deluxe member for almost a month. I have only entered about 5 beauty contests. The two that I were in today, I couldn't get lower then the mid 2000's. I see what clothes are being put on the higher numbers and can't understand why I even think out an outfit.

Here is my theory:
Only pets over lev 5 cam compete in the pro comps. Beyond that, it's pure luck. I've had pets who have only taken up to lev 5 then quit place 1st. I have one pet graduated, & 4 pets taking/took lev 10 classes. I think it's just random; like, how do you win 500kc on the wheel of wow ? You play each day.

I completely agree. I have deluxe and have not noticed what so ever that my pets have done better than before. It is 100% random. How can I be 26th one competition and then the next one be 3,983? It doesn't make sense. Just ganz trying to get more members to buy the deluxe package to make it seem as if if you don't have a deluxe account you are missing out...as if the deluxe account is necessary to have the complete webkinz experience.
