ZumBuddy Questions! These zums are difficult to keep HAPPY!

Hi Peeps. I got my new zumbuddy today and I just love it. However, I don't get how it is I am suppossed to make them happy. I know to give them food and toys when they ask but it just does not seem to work well for me. Sometimes when I touch my zumbuddy, he laughs and health percentage goes up. Sometimes I touch him, he gives me a frown and his health goes down. Is there a way to tell when to touch him and when not to?.....I was able to get to have a party with 100% health but got no zums. Does it take many partys in order to get zummies? Has anyone recieved any zummies or any prizes?............Is there a pattern to follow with the zumbuddys? I have the lazy zumbuddy and he seems to sleep a lot. My son has the bratty zumbuddy and he seems to be moving all the time. My daughter has the giggly zum and it seems to giggle more...

I am trying to figure this zumbuddy thing out so that I can start getting my zummies for prizes. Any help of any sort would be very helpful. Thanks!

Just remember that every day your Zum's health will be back at 50% so that you have ample opportunity to get that health back up.
It is a real learn as you go process. They are still quite new as yet and we have so much to learn about them.
You do know that food and toys are consumables and disappear from your Zum's after playing or consuming, right?
Hopefully these will help you to decide what is in your Zum's best interest. It will also vary from Zum to Zum, I am sure, what their likes and dislikes are.
Try to keep a record of what works and what doesn't, watch their levels and see how they go down and when(Usually with ordinary webkinz it is on a cycle of every 6 minutes that you lose 3XH...health Happiness and hunger points), Zums may have similar programming

Toys are consumable?

Yes, toys and food are consummable! If the Zumbuddy doesn't play with it then it disappears! Furniture stays though! Sometimes they seem to like to just fly around for awhile, then play, or eat and they will tell you if they are hungry or want to play (a little bubble thought shows up).

They like to party when both zumbuddies are getting to the really happy stage and then they get a playful like and presto! Its a PARTY! Not too many zummies are awarded but the lazy ones seem to like to sit in a chair for a bit.

And it is fun to watch them play with each other. They seem to like the bubble blower. Go figure!

I think they still need some programming as the beds are gonna be really hard to come by if it doesn't change.

The Zum buddies are a little hard to figure out. They're so cute but confusing so I think you just gotta keep playing with them every day and eventually you'll get it.

You do not gat zummies with each party. I got my only/1st zum yesterday. She is easy to satisfy-tickle 5 times, X-out, repeat-and I have had 15 parties. (6 yesterday, 9 today) I do not have enough zummies to buy a footstool. It never gave me any zummies.
