I had that same problem, then read in another thread that it was because I had old files and wasn't really "fixed". I cleaned out my cookies and temp files and then it worked great. Not getting parties anymore, but am getting Zummies. The big difference I noticed was the happiness meter has the percentage written on it now when it didn't before. If you can't see the % on your meter, clear your cookies and files and then try.
