I have 5 Zum Buddies on my account and it is impossible to keep these little guys happy. They take way too much time and money to even try to get their happiness up. I have spent several hours today with these guys and have spent bunches of kinzcash. I can't get their happiness levels above 75%. I have problems with them grunting when I give them what they ask for and their happiness levels goes down. Even when they seem happy when I give them what they want their happiness levels go down. This is supposed to be fun. I am very frustrated with these little guys and I am an adult. I can't imagine how disappointing this must be for children. Hopefully Ganz will make this more user friendly soon. Until then, I think I am just going to let my Zum Buddy follow it's assigned pet and be happy with that. The Zum Buddy plushes are really cute and I'm sure youngsters will like playing with them but at this time I would not recommend these for on-line play for children. | | | 11-07-2009, 06:01 PM | #22 | 100% Evil. I did break down and get some for my children for Christmas, and I looged them in to try and earn the zummies for my kids to spend on christmas day. (They do not know I got them, so it will reamin a good suprise for them).
I agree, this is very frustrating. And it costs a TON of kinzcash to keep buying the toys and food that the zumbuddy is asking for. Too much time and effort for too small of a zummies reward. Plus, I would think that we should be able to EARN the kinzcash for this, since it's costing us so much to purchase the things that the zums are asking for.
Overall, I am not impressed. As mentioned, even with doing everything right the Zums still lose happiness, and I've yet to see a party since the change in programming was made.
My opinion at this point?
Save your money, it's not worth it. IF you only like the plushies, they are adorable and I recommend them on that front, but not for the zumbuddies online game at all. Not worth it at all.
Thanks everyone for your opinions on this.
Oh, KeyLargo, it's great to see you here. I love chatting with you on the other site, too. :-) | | | 11-08-2009, 01:55 PM | #23 | moosewyo Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 117 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? I think the zums are PRECISELY designed for kids. Kids like to watch the zums play with their little toys. It's a matching game, when the zum shows you something, you have to go see if you have a match in your zum toolbar.
Kids have to figure out the strategy: give your zum a toy when it stops flying.
I think kids will also love to have their zumbuddy follow them around in the clubhouse, and in their rooms. | | | 11-08-2009, 01:58 PM | #24 | PASTAAAAA! And my little sister loves them even more. She has the Bratty Zum, and I think that all she really does on WW anymore is play with it. She absolutely loves it and thinks it's adorable (same here ) | | | 11-08-2009, 02:02 PM | #25 | moosewyo Webkinz :) Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 117 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? Yeah, kids just want to play with it. I don't think the desire to "get more stuff" in the room will be that important to kids. | | | 11-10-2009, 11:11 AM | #26 | Diabetes Awareness Gift Guru Join Date: Feb 2009 Posts: 1,119 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? We got one last night, and my kiddo loves it! He loves watching for what the zum wants and giving it to him. I actually think it is more fun for the younger children who are less concerned with maximizing the happiness, etc. | | | 11-10-2009, 11:22 AM | #27 | Webkinz :) Join Date: Jan 2009 Posts: 66 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? Hey hey!
I am an adult, and I have a super addiction to these little ******s. I have six webkinz, and two zumbuddies.
I've found that you should NOT just assume you know what they want, wait for them to tell you with a little picture over their head. I haven't figured out what the little music sign is yet though.
I've also noticed that getting them furniture does NOTHING for them. They don't respond to them like webkinz do. They don't do what you want, and you can't control them like webkinz.
So basically, just do what they ask you to do, don't waste your money on their furniture, unless it's for your webkinz, or just because you want to make a cute room.
I know that I have spent well over 5000 kinzcash on the little peckers, but I think it's worth it, I like hearing them laugh
Although, if you tickle them too much, they cry hahaha, That wasn't as expected Last edited by Jennielou; 11-11-2009 at 07:55 PM.. Reason: removed age | | | 11-11-2009, 07:46 PM | #28 | 100% Evil. I'm not sure what the "connection" is, but I am guessing you play music at a party, and at a party you have a balloon. Works for me, anyways. LOL thanks for your input. | | | 11-11-2009, 09:28 PM | #29 | Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 29,029 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? Patient Child = Yep!
Impatient Child = Not really.
It depends how you feel about working at it, how you feel about using alittle extra time to earn rewards and entertainment. I personally love it, but that's just me. | | | 11-11-2009, 09:30 PM | #30 | Gift Guru Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 29,029 | Re: Zumbuddies? is it worth it for younger players? I believe the Music Note means 2 zums may be communicating, or the zum is expressing its mood. | | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | | | Thread Tools | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off
