Zumbuddies glitched? Has anyone gotton zummies?

My zum buddies have thrown at least 20 parties together in the same room (three times today) and I've only gotten zummies once. And I only got five, so it wasn't exactly a "shower" of zummies like the ad copy says. I'm getting pretty peeved since I've blown 1000 KC on these zums in return for five whole zummies.

My zumbuddy can't seem to get past 10%. What are these parties everyone seems to be talking about? Also my buddy does not seem to move too much. What am I doing wrong?
