After 3 years I finally got the last silver key. My new account (since June) got all the keys about the same time. So what gives there??

But generally all I get is candy or sap glop or duplicate stars. Not so much fun for kids, I'd say.

Don't feel bad, it happens to everyone at some point. People might say this is a "game of luck", but I think your chances of getting something rare do increase with purchases of additional charms and figures. That stinks for people like me who just buy enough to unlock what we need at the time (say, 2 rows in the forest), and don't unlock everything at once. Anyways, always look on the bright side. Like Myersnks said, you can always sell candy (although sap glop can't). Me, personally, what I like to do is just take what I get, and at the end of a long time period such as a week or two, I sell everything and make quite a bundle. :-)
