AWESOME guide. thanks so much for all of the valuable information.

I feel really lame asking this, but we can't figure out how to get our Zums (we only have 2) to play with each other, as in sharing a toy. AND we can't figure out how to move them around the room ourselves. we just put them on this morning, and I read the guide, but I must have missed this very basic point, or I am lost beyond help!

Toys that trigger zums to play together are Soccer Ball, Rainbow toy, and Pie in the Sky (also the car looking toy, but I do not remember it's name right now). To get zums to play together, first make sure both zums have nothing to do. Then give one of the zums a "play together" toy. They do not always play together, but if they are going to play together the other zum will fly over to the zum with the toy and they will begin playing.

For the most part, you can not move your zums around in a room. You can only move them from one room to another room. You can however get them to use the furniture (if you have beds, chairs, sofas, or footstools). To do this, you have to click on the piece of furniture you want the zum to use. You may have to click it several time, before your zum will get the idea.

Great thread! One little question and I hope no one minds my asking, is there a way to make Zum-sitting (as in baby-sitting) less like penance and more fun?

Zumbuddies seem pretty complicated and alot of work! Can you only have 1 room per buddy- and how much does a room cost???

PS. I really want them I like the pink, purple and bratty zum the best.

First of all, THANK YOU for all the great info in this thread!!!! We just bought the Zana buddy yesterday and were clueless until we read this thread. We have now been able to figure some of this out. We seem to make it mad though when we tickle it, when it is just sitting???
Overall, yes, it is quite adorable BUTI think I would rather have newborn triplets!!! It is very demanding and yells all the time...LOL...it is costing me a fortune and it won't GO TO SLEEP!!
We cannot get it's happiness level past 59%, even when giving it all the toys it wants plus extras. Jeez...this is absolutly EXHAUSTING...LOL. Anyway very great thread and I will follow everything everyone says just to see if this gets better on our part. I'm just going to hang in there..Thank You for all the great info.
Oh, is there anyway to raise any particular color of zummies? I have lots of everything except blue for some reason??????

You are given a room, per Zumbuddy, for the first 5 Zums you add to your account. After that you get a new room on the fifth additional Zum added to your account (10, 15, etc.). You can not - at this point - purchase additional rooms.

If you go in with the idea that you are just going to play with them, they can be pretty simple. Main advice I can give you is - DO NOT watch the happiness meter. At this point, it will only stress you out. And don't wait for them to ask for something. They will ask, but they also like to be given stuff just for fun.

You are better off paying absolutely no attention to the Happiness Meter. It will only stress you out.

Go in and play with your Zumbuddies. If you can, it is a good idea to purchase ahead of time one of each toy and food (but not the melon looking food - it is too expensive). This way you will have on hand what they ask for. When they do not ask for anything, then just give them something you would like to see them play with. The only exception is when the Music Notes are over their head, wait til these go away.

Also, if you can, you get better results placing the item directly on the Zum you wish to give it to. This works best with food, and results in less waste with toys.

At what point do you tickle them? I understand our best bet to get the zummies is to alternate offering food and toys. Do you tickle between the food & the toys? When the Music Notes are overhead? When they're moving?
