Alyssa's Stars

Many WI members are contributing data to see if there is a pattern to finding Alyssa's Stars.

Get involved and post your findings daily or weekly. The thread is always being updated. I spend about an hour each day on the updates.

It's VERY important that attention be given to the 'click-able' star's location in the Constellation (there's 2 per constellation). It is MUCH better to mention the 'click-able' star by it's location in the Constellation and not by it's color.

Collecting this data will help us approximate which constellation to search when looking for one of Alyssa's Stars.

We are trying to map the sky with this data and see if a pattern emerges but it may simply be random as well. Keep posting and feel free to use the current information to find a Star you need!

Please remember the click-able star's Location in the Constellation::

At first we asked you post the color of the click-able star but there has been some confusion as some people see colors different and screen displays may vary per user.

Therefore, it is essential that you list the click-able star location you clicked (not just their colors) that reveal the constellation. Each Constellation has 2 click-able stars. Please see images below.

For example each Constellation will have two stars to click on in:

A. Top right or top left

and

B. Bottom left or bottom left

Also, mention if you get a Star from the same click-able star even if it's been posted before. Repeat information is useful too.

The Click-able Stars: (2 per Constellation)

The click-able stars are positioned:

A. near the top, either right or left in the constellation
OR
B. near the bottom either right or left in the constellation

*except, some are just on the top and bottom (like zingoz).

Posting your results by using the click-able star position is more precise than saying it's color. When the data was first being collected we said the color of the star we clicked on, but that left a margin of error if someone saw a blue star as a purple star and a green star as blue star ect. So, saying Top Right, Top Left, Bottom Right, Bottom Left or Top or Bottom is the very best way to describe what star you clicked on.

It is far better to list the click-able stars by their 'location' in the constellation. If you look at the picture attached here you will see all the constellations' click-able stars. It shows the constellation before and after you click on it.

Comets and prizes (Comet colors and Prizes)

SHOOTING STAR OR COMET INFO::

You see a shooting star...you click on it. That shooting star MAY contain a comet. If it does not contain a comet it will reveal the word SHOOTING STAR across the screen (you will not get any prizes) and if you have any turns left you can continue to look for more stars. There will only be one shooting star per account. It can sometimes come after the first constellation you click on. I find it usually appears within 25 seconds and the net will disappear just before it shows up.

If it does contain a comet, Alyssa will appear on the screen with a colored comet, [there are 5 different colors] and from the data collected it appears as though each color comet will randomly yield one of 5 prizes as listed below. You will not have any more chances to search for stars after winning a prize.

Results:

It does not matter what height the shooting star or the color of the comet as it is always random.

One member reported winning a Kinzplasma Television from a comet (no comet color mentionned) = this may have been a glitch.

Some have also received the Color Catastrophe book (which was an item previously purchased with a code). = this may have been a glitch.

And, when it was first launched others prematurely received the throne which is believed to be one of the grand prizes.

Commodore's Star Map::
NOTE:: A few members have reported that the constellations are moving everyday. There seems to be different patterns each day. The pattern appears to be the same for all accounts on a given day.

Deep down in the Charm Forest where the the Horizon meets the sky..a few Webkinz gear up with their telescopes and spot some very special constellations. They use their dandy little nets to scoop up Alyssa's magical stars. Sometimes they are lucky enough to capture the much sought after comets using their space shuttles, flying saucers and flyers! After a night of star gazing the elite Star Catchers retire to a charm infused space theme room.

I wonder how come we always have to clear cache, clear cookies and history/everything to ever see new stuff on WKW?

Our computers use the cache and cookies to speed up the interaction time. When anything new is there you have to empty out those old bits of info to get the new stuff. It's the best way to go about it to get new gems and charms when doing the hunts too

no you do not need charms...this is free - isn't that great!!

Go to google and do a quick search for your browser type and how to clear cache and cookies.

It's very straightforward in fact...look at the top of the browser (for Firefox) it looks like this.

FILE EDIT VIEW HISTORY BOOKMARKS SPLIT TOOLS HELP

Pick TOOLS and a window will pop up and choose the second last option.

Clear Private data and another screen will pop up.

Select what you want to clear...and click the tab that says Clear Private Data Now.

It takes a few seconds then open a new browser and log back in and voila it should work.
