Snowleaf trudged into camp, holding in his mouth a plump rabbit. He triumphantly set it down on the food pile. A elder quickly snatched it. Snowleaf dipped his head. Then, Snowleaf strolled over to the Warrior's food pile and greedily took a juicy mouse. Snowleaf relished the sweet taste. He glanced at Goldtail sitting nearby. "Hi!" he said cheerily.

Goldtail finished her grooming before nodding her head in greeting. "Hello, Snowleaf." She mewed. "How was hunting?"

Snowleaf puffed up his chest. "Indeed, I think I had quite a bit of success. Well, not to get too carried away, let's just say it went well for my first time in a long time hunting." Snowleaf chuckled lightly. He began to clean his snowy white fur carefully... "Can you keep a secret?" Snowleaf said after a moments hesitation.

Goldtail's golden eyes burned with curiosity as she crouched down and nodded.

Snowleaf spoke in a whisper,"Well, there have been many fox sightings recently, I've heard. While I was hunting, I happened to see a entire family of foxes sneaking around our camp. They were too close to the camp for my liking, so I followed them, waiting to see what they would do next. They hurried into the camp and took food and ran for it. Unfortunatly, when they began to retrace their paw steps, they caught me spying on them. They said they would kill me if I told anyone about there stealing, so I said I wouldn't tell, just for the sake of keeping my life. I realize now how selfish I was to save myself. I had to tell someone, so, I feel that I can tell you. Can you help me?"

Goldtail blinked back her concern, feeling scared for her friend. "I understand how scared you must feel," she murmured, not wanting another cat to hear, "but you must tell Featherstar. They won't know, and perhaps we can drive them away before they find out.." her voice trailed off as she shivered, not able to imagine how horrible it would be if the foxes found Snowleaf again. She leaned over to give her friends ear a comforting lick.

Snowleaf accepted Goldtail's reassurance gratefully. "Thanks, you're right," Snowleaf murmured. "For the time while we wait for Featherstar to return, what would you like to do?" Snowleaf asked. He felt scared, but didn't want to admit it.
