A shadow padded down the long alley ways, the road lit up by the useless dim lights that hung from the back of buildings, and the occasional car passing by with severely bright headlights. A rust-colored dog jumped out of the way of a Smoothface, dodging his large, meaty hands as he grabbed for her. She growled, jumping easily away from him. The dog's sleek build gave her a swift get away as she ran for a shadowed alley.
