The pain, both physical, and emotional, had reached it's climax, when it was stopped. Shaking, Kaarylaenia stared up at the strand seeker, her eyes wide with fear. Cold sweat ran down her face, and the aftereffects of the pain lingered.

((Poor Kaarylaenia. I expect she's got permanent damage. ))

"Wh... why?" Kaarylaenia asked. She was still out of breath and still shaking. A sudden and short, but painful all the less, headache spasmed across her brain.

Kaarylaenia tried to stand up, but her legs were wobbly and weak. She grudgingly stopped trying. "You should clear off before I set my gryphon on you!" It would have sounded much more impressive if she hadn't been shaking and stuttering with fear of his abilities, fear that the pain would come back.
