READ THE LEADERS NOTES! This is approved by Larkrose Rebellion! High King Elcade is the ruler of your country, Kantalia, a mere ink splotch on the vast map of Restaezar, the world beyond. King Elcade has always been a good ruler... until now. Lately, King Elcade has been acting strangely. Troops have been marching off to sudden wars in lands of what were once allies’, and Kantalia’s empire is growing rapidly. The High King has removed several of his most trusted advisors, replaced with a group of mysterious, cloaked figures that call themselves the Strand Seekers. They’re suspicious, in your opinion, and you grow tired of this once fair leader’s rule. This thought is wandering through your mind, when a robed figure approaches you. Frightened it might be a Strand Seeker, you back away. “High King Elcade has fallen prey to what has consumed many men. The Strand Seekers are sapping his power, convincing him to expand Kantalia’s borders, until the whole world has been taken. As soon as this happens, the Strand Seekers will assassinate the king, and all of Restaezar will succumb to their darkness. Come,” the character says in a voice that couldn't ever belong to a Strand Seeker, setting off at a brisk pace. “The Rebellion begins.” Do you follow? Read this whole post before making a character! For Reference and New Members A bit of background on the setting: · This RP is set in a magical, medieval type world. · The world is known as Restaezar, and similar to our own in terms of continents. · Kantalia is a large island (Australia, maybe?) with different regions: -The middle region, called Carowen, is fertile and lush. The climate is warm, with seasonable rains. It is surrounded by the two rivers, East Pasterdale and West Pasterdale. It is where Kantalia’s main capital of Yzanwer is located, and also the main palace. - The east coast is mountain and forest. It is called Maltrian and often rains there. It is damp and cold, but has one of the best ports in Kantalia, and several of its highest peaks. It is rumored that an ancient elf race lives up at the top of those aeries, but no one knows for sure. The rocky forests and cliffs make for great breeding points for dragons. - Driszale is in the north, and mostly des ert. A great place for trading, it is often inaccessible to people who aren’t merchants but makes a good solitary place for secret societies. - To the south is Brinzale. Like its northern counterpart, it too is desert, and is a great military base. It is top secret and only soldiers are allowed to enter. It is rumored that an elf race lives here as well, deep in the desert where they are unreachable. - The west coast, Trancalem, is warm and wet, and is a training facility. Many of the top arcane schools are here, and its beach cliffs are a favorite amongst young dragons. This is pretty much the magic central of the world. · All of Kantalia has great stone walls and gates protecting from attack. · The Rebellion against High King Elcade and his Strand Seekers is an underground facility that contains many different races with many different skills. All are appreciated, from the highest ranking arcanite to the lowly blacksmith. The Rebellion seeks to overthrow High King Elcade before this contamination spreads and all the lands of the world fall to the death and disease of the Strand Seekers. - Where the Strand Seekers name comes from remains undetermined, but the Rebellion is doing as much research into it as possible. Characters you can choose to play as: Races: All of these races can have a part in the Rebellion (except Strand Seekers), or you can choose to be loyal to the High King. · Human: - A person, with a profession, a logical appearance, and traits. Some humans chance upon having one unexplained magical power. **Only one human with a magical power per Role-Player, but it can be any power you want, as long as it isn’t a stacking power. i.e. Water Power: Can breathe under and control water is a stacking power. It’s either/or. · Arcanite: - Resemblance similar to humans, but their ears are slightly pointed and their skin is tinted towards a strange color, such as purple. A lot of the time, their skin tint reflects just a bit of their personality. Rarely, you come upon an Arcanite whose skin tint changes depending on mood. Arcanites know a variety of magical spells and they all have a few distinct magical powers of their own. Arcanites maintain a youthful appearance their whole life and they averagely look to be around sixteen or seventeen. In rare cases, an Arcanite looks like a young child, but never looks younger than seven. **Has 1-2 powers. · Dragonite: -A human with no magical powers that has Bonded with a dragon. All dragons have one to three magical powers, and distinct appearances and personalities. A human must Bond with a dragon before that dragon will trust the human. The Bond is formed when the human approaches with nothing more than a simple knife. The human will cut a small incision into their hand, and the dragon will go through a ritual that is different for every human. Afterwards, the dragon is loyal to the human, and they have a better Bond than they would with any other human. **The dragonites and dragons communicate with thoughts, and the dragon will let the dragonite ride it. For more details on dragons, see the Dragonite hand book at the bottom of this post. · Sand Elf: - An elf of the desert region of Brinzale, they are separated from the other races. Their skin is dark and their hair is often lightly colored, and they are very tall. They mark their faces with unique patterns of face paint and wear arm and leg bands depending on their status. **Bronze bands are ordinary, silver are for warriors and higher ranks, and gold is the highest. ***Can have 1-2 powers. · Forest Elf: - The Forest Elves live in the region of Maltrian on the high peaks and in the forests. They can ride the gryphons (half lion, half eagles) there, and many have their own trained gryphon instead of a horse. They communicate with animals. Red hair in all shades and darker green eyes are common among them, along with incredible height. They wear loose white robes and circlets depending on status, with leaves and branches for ordinary elves, silver for the warriors, and gold for the leaders. **Can have 1-2 powers. · Strand Seeker: - The Strand Seekers’ skin is always deathly pale and their eyes are always black. They are a dark race with a deadly aura and they spread disease and destruction. However, they have power beyond imagining that many have coveted. They are loyal to no one, and, even though they might pretend against it, their mission is to convert this world to a place of misery and despair. **Can have 1-2 powers For more info on any of these races, check the Handbooks at the bottom of this post. All of the races can have a familiar/pet that they keep with them. The familiar can be any sort of animal, but no magical animals please, unless you’re a Sand Elf, Forest Elf, Strand Seeker, or Arcanite, and no dragons unless you're a dragonite. **If you have read this entire post, please write "Rebellion for the Win" or "Long live King Elcade" with your character form. Character Forms! Please follow this layout with your character form: Name: (Full false name) Age:(Remember that Arcanites, Sand Elves, Forest Elves, and Strand Seekers are immortal and do not get older, so please put their real age and then how old they look.) Race: (Human, Arcanite, Dragonite, Forest Elf, Sand Elf, or Strand Seeker) Gender: (Male or Female?) Location:( Which of the regions do they live in?) Appearance:(Go into as much detail as possible! Do they have scars? Do they wear their hair a certain way? Really let us know how your character looks. And, as always, ‘Beautiful, with long shiny blond hair and perfect teeth’ doesn’t count.) Personality:(A lot more detail here too! Are they usually happy? What makes them upset? Do they have unusual tendencies or a strange way of talking? Remember that everyone has quirks, and ‘Everyone loves her, she’s so popular, she's perfect, blah blah blah…’ is not acceptable!) Profession/Powers:(If you have a human, what is their job? Remember, medieval times. What powers do they have, if they have any?) Loyalty: (Part of the Rebellion or loyal to King Elcade?) Familiar? (Do they have a pet or familiar? Dragons go here too.) Dragon or Familiar form: Name: (Please, nothing like “Scaly McScalescales”) Gender: (Male or female?) Type: (This is where you tell us what type of animal your familiar is, or if it’s a specific type of dragon. Ice, air, peak, etc.) Appearance:(Detail! We want detail! Do they have spots? Are they soft? Tell us everything as your character sees it.) Powers: (Remember, familiars don’t have powers unless they’re a magical animal.) Personality: (We need more detail for dragons than familiars, but please go into your familiar’s personality, if only a little bit.) **Familiars can usually talk to their owners. You can have as many characters as you want. You should probably read the Rebellion handbook, but the rest are optional. Rebellion Handbooks: Your Guide to The Rebellion What is the Rebellion? The Rebellion is a secret facility looking to overthrow the king before world domination and before the strand seekers assassinate the king. Rebellion Meeting Places: In Maltrian: Halfway past the port, there is a tavern called the “Wave of Truth”. You are to enter the tavern and go towards the Storage Room. A guard will stop you and ask, “What do you need?” You will respond, “A sack of oats and a pint of nobility.” After the guard lets you in, you go down the stairs into the storage room, where you will see five kegs against one wall. You are to go to the one in the middle, find the loose plank on the left side, and take out the key. Then, you unlock the door to your right, and are in the secret meeting room. Maltrian Rebellion Leaders: Lasotor Spiritseeker the Forest Elf (KittyKat913) Leader needed! Next meeting date: TBA In Carowen: In the market place, there is a shop called, “The Risen Star”, directly south of the main palace, and it sells potion ingredients. The lady at the counter will ask you, “What do you seek?” You will answer, “A potion to cure the most wounded soul, and one to cleanse the earth.” She will admit you behind the counter, and you are to go down the secret stair concealed in it (you’ll have to crawl to get through the opening) and you will arrive in the Rebellion meeting place. Carowen Rebellion Leaders: Salerana Arride Kalsmala the Human (KittyKat913) Leader needed! Next meeting date: TBA In Trancalem: Next to the Arcanite Academy, there is a small inn, the “Arcane Shelter”. Once you go in, head to a table. The serving girl will ask you, “What may I get you?” Your answer is “Many arcane spells and a glass of water.” She will lead you to the top room and unlock the door, and you will be in the rebellion meeting place. Trancalem Rebellion Leaders: Galdor Montereo the Arcanite (KittyKat913) Leader needed! Next Meeting Date: TBA In Brinzale: Somewhere far out in the desert, there is a small oasis, shielded from view by four sand dunes in the shape of a diamond. Quite hard to find except for regulars, this is the Rebellion meeting place. Brinzale Rebellion Leaders: Myrae Elanea Sandshifter the Sand Elf (KittyKat913) Next Meeting Date: TBA Note: The Rebellion leaders keep in touch via hawk messengers. Human Handbook: The Basics: Humans are the second youngest race of Restaezar, simply because all the others have been around for thousands of million years. Humans are a very versatile race. They can be ordinary working folk, or they can have a special, unexplained power able to change the world. Note on Powers: These powers are not passed down by generation, or common in a certain family. In fact, they spring up quite randomly. The powers are random as well: you might be granted the power to cause thunderstorms even if you are terrified of them. Humans without their own magical powers are the only race capable of becoming Dragonites. (See Dragonite handbook) Main Location: Humans can be located all over the world, but the place with the most human density of all the races is most likely Carowen. There are humans in the port cities of Maltrian as well, but you rarely find them in the mountains. A few humans might be in Trancalem, but it is not a favorite. Merchants and trading families will most likely be living in Driszale, the top trading facility in Kantalia. Humans in the army of King Elcade will most likely be found in Brinzale, though it would be hard to find peaceful family life. Etiquette: Humans have a very simple form of etiquette. It is mostly self explanatory, for example, respect your elders, do not trouble higher ranks, and etc. Dragonite Handbook The youngest race of the current world, the Dragonites are very special. As humans with no magical powers, (see human handbook) the Dragonite is able to Bond with a dragon. *Note: Why can’t the human have magical powers? If the dragon notices the human has powers, it will feel like the person is capable on their own, and will not bond. Why do they cut their palm? The Dragonites cut their palm to show commitment, it is believed. The wound is supposedly symbolizing a blood pact, and the scar is to remind of it always. What happens afterward? It’s different for everyone, but generally the dragon approaches, sends a message to the Dragonite, asking some sort of task, or something similar. The Dragonite ensues; they fly together, and learn to trust each other, taking from 5 minutes to twenty-four hours. There can also be an instance where the dragon and rider are not destined, and the Dragonite will have to do it all over again with a different dragon. How are the Dragon and Dragonite destined? Well, it’s just up to the Fate and the Truth. It isn’t based on compatibility, gender, skills… it’s just destined. How is the Bond Special? The Bond is important because without it, the Dragon and Dragonite wouldn’t be able to function as a team. The Bond is final, and lasting. If a dragon were to die, or the dragonite, it would be devastating for the other. The Bond allows them to communicate with thoughts, though they will know each other so well by the end they will practically be able to predict what the other is thinking. All about dragons: Dragons are a mostly reptilian magical creature that you can find all over the world of Kantalia. They all have distinct appearances, personalities, and ways of thought, as well as up to three special powers. Dragon Appearance: Dragons almost always have scales, tails, talons, and of course, wings, but that’s about as close as you can get to a single appearance. Some wings look like bat wings, some are feathered, and some look like they’re made of pure light. Dragons can have crests, horns, feathers… pretty much anything goes in the world of dragons. Dragon Skills: All dragons can fly. Some can run fast on land, swim under water, and several other skills. Most dragons can breathe fire, though some can breathe ice, water, poison, etc. Dragon Types: Land dragons can run fast and fly. Nature dragons can breathe a poison and usually have a power with plants. Ice dragons breathe ice and have great traction for when they’re on land. Marine dragons can swim and breathe water. Peak dragons are great climbers. Flame dragons breathe fire hotter than the temperature of the sun and can withstand extreme temperatures. Other types exist too, so if you have a question, please ask me. Arcanite Handbook The Basics: Arcanites are younger then both the sand and forest elves, but still have been around for an incredibly long period. Arcanites are the masters of the arcane magic. They have their own powers, and they can cast an abundance of spells and enhancements on themselves and others. Main Location: Arcanites are mainly located in Trancalem, surrounded by academies of magic. It’s rare, but not impossible, you will find them elsewhere. Some Arcanite Spells: Arcanites have all sorts of spells. There are some spells for healing, some for long term damage, some for close combat, some for damage over time, some for long range combat, and some for large areas. There are enhancement spells for your speed, strength, stamina, regeneration, and others. Arcanite spells greatly differ. Arcanite Appearance: Arcanites have strange colored skin, or even skin that changes with their mood! They have pointed ears and a hint of fangs. They maintain a youthful appearance all life. Arcanite Etiquette: Arcanites' etiquette is very similar to that of humans: self explanatory and simple. You could go as far to say that they don't have one. Forest Elf Handbook: The Basics: Forest Elves and Sand Elves are the oldest races. At one point, the Forest Elves and Sand Elves were one race, but disagreements ended up causing a war that few survived. The remaining Forest Elves moved to the cold, rainy mountains of Maltrian and set up different settlements and colonies, while the Sand Elves withdrew to Brinzale, protected by sand. The Forest Elves are an ancient race, elegant and refined. Etiquette: The Forest Elves have a very elaborate sense of etiquette. Listed are some terms. Saying Hello: Forest Elves begin with the word “Kaldorei”, or “Pleasure” in English. They then state their full name, and their house. **A note on houses: Forest Elves choose their own last names. For identification, the family has an ancient clan name. This is called the house. Using my charrie as an example: Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher, sixth in the house of Malerai, the Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher part is her chosen name. Her family name is Malerai, and she is the sixth descendant of that family. Saying Goodbye: Forest Elves say good bye several ways. The most common is “Treasure the Ancients”, though no one is quite sure how that more than ancient greeting came to be or what it means. You can invent your own etiquette terms, but tell me so I can add them! Appearance: Forest Elves usually have darker red hair, in length, and all shades of green eyes. They average from 5 and a half feet (being very short) and seven feet. Six feet is the most common, but seven is not rare. It is rarest to be less than six feet. They have large, pointed ears, and delicate features. Their bodies are streamlined, making them fast runners. Powers: Forest Elves can have one or two powers, and they usually have to do with nature. A forest elf could be able to use plants to their advantage, run quickly, heal, etc. It would be uncommon to have powers of mass destruction. Sand Elf Handbook: The Basics: Forest Elves and Sand Elves are the oldest races. The Sand Elves are an ancient race, fierce and brave. Etiquette: Sand Elves have complicated etiquette as well. Some terms are below. Saying hello: Sand Elves introduce themselves by saying “Tilase” and then stating their own name, and their ancestry. i.e, Myrae Elanea Sandshifter, Daughter of Jinea and Kesh. They would add important titles to their line as well. For example, Daughter of Kesh, Chief of the Kevea tribe. Saying Goodbye: Sand Elves say goodbye by saying, “Be forever safe from sandstorms”. It’s a very old phrase, You can invent your own terms, but tell me so I can add them! Appearance: Sand Elves have dark tan skin, and very light hair, ranging from light brown to white. They have large pointed ears and average height is about 6 and a half feet. They wear unique face paint patterns of swirls, stripes, and circles. Powers: Sand Elves can have 1-2 powers as well, and they are battle powers. It can be the power to have incredible aim, the power to call on sandstorms… they are powers meant for war. Strand Seeker Handbook: The Basics: Not much is known about this dark, deadly race. They thrive on pain and cruelty, and want to convert this world to despair, or so believed. Appearance: Strand Seekers always have deathly white skin, like paper. They usually have black hair and eyes that are mostly black but tinged with red or yellow. They have cat eye pupils. Powers: Strand Seekers usually have dark powers such as mind reading or hypnosis. READ THE LEADERS NOTES! Existing Members: KittyKat913 (owner) Myrae Elanea Sandshifter the Sand Elf **Rebellion Leader** Meer-ay Uh-lay-nee-uh Age: 183, looks and acts around 17 Race: Sand Elf Gender: Female Location: Brinzale, traveling to Carowan to join the Rebellion’s main location. Appearance: Myrae has dark tan skin that contrasts deeply with her moonlight hair, which falls to her knees when loose (most of the time). She is about six and a half feet tall, which is average for a sand elf, and she usually wears a strapless dark blue dress that comes to mid-thigh. Myrae uses midnight and silver face paint. She paints sapphire swirls from the sides of her face to her cheekbones, and a wishbone shape in silver that starts at her bottom lip and goes to her chin. She paints thick blue curls at the corners of her eyes and a blunt straight silver line across the bridge of her nose. Myrae wears thick gold cuffs and anklets, and always carries around a small dagger inscribed with opals. Personality: Myrae was born into royalty but she has a thirst for adventure. She is brave and is a great warrior. She is skilled with swords. However, she tends to not think things through and ends up regretting her hasty decisions. It takes a very long time for her to begin to trust someone, but once she decides you’re worth it, she’ll be insanely loyal. She can’t take a joke. However, she will be the first to defend and the last still on the battle field. She has extreme will power and never gives up. So while she may be a bit stuck up and untouchable, she’ll put her life on the battlefield with no regret. Profession/Powers: She has the ability to tell if someone’s lying. Very useful. Familiar? Yep, a Desert Hawk. Loyalty: Rebellion, duh. Dragon or Familiar form: Name: Karo (Kare-oh) Gender: Male Type: Desert Hawk Appearance: Karo’s feathers are chocolate brown with hints of gold. His chest is gold and his head is light brown. His eyes are deep amber, and his golden beak is sharp and hooked. His feet and talons are unusually silver, and he wears a gold band around one ankle for identification to Myrae. Powers:Karo can fly really fast, but it’s not actually a power. Personality:Karo is very protective of Myrae and only trusts her. He looks upon all other animals with a bit of disdain. He flies quickly, so he has gone on scouting missions and delivered messages for the Rebellion. He’s actually kind of a snob, but loves Myrae more than anything, though they frequently argue. Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher the Forest Elf Car-ee-lay-nee-uh Age: 35, really very young, looks 18 Race: Forest Elf Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Long ruby hair that she wears in a loose ponytail, and VERY dark green eyes. Her skin is pale, but not too bad. She’s about six feet tall, very petite for an elf. She always wears a very long white robe with billowing sleeves, and a foilage circlet. She carries a hip pack with her containing some useful herbs. Personality: Kaarylaenia is very shy and serious. Some see her as stuck up because she hardly ever talks. She won’t stand up for herself or for anyone, because she lacks confidence and courage. She is a bit of a coward and often runs away from her problems. She is also a very skilled gryphon rider, and a talented writer and singer. She writes ballads that she sings when she is alone. She is the sixth in the house of Malerai. Profession/Powers: None Familiar? Yeppers, a gryphon. Loyalty: Strand Seekers destroyed her old village and massacred her people, so she is in the Rebellion. Familiar: Name: Aeradon (Air-uh-dawn) Gender: Female Type: Gryphon Appearance: Tawny, with dark brown feathers. Her beak and talons are black, but her eyes are kind Powers: None. Personality: Pretty much the exact opposite of her rider. She is outgoing and loves to have fun. If something is wrong, she’ll do something about it. She is completely fearless and quick to come to someone’s aid. Deandara LaQantas the Strand Seeker Age: 1347, but looks to be around 23 Race: Strand Seeker Gender: Female. Location: Yzanwer, at the main palace. Appearance: Deandara’s skin is deathly white with unhealthy hints of grey. Her eyes are coal black, with narrow yellow slits as irises like a cat. Of course, you can never see them because she always wears a deep black cowl that casts the upper part of her face in shadow. Her lips are deep purple and twisted to look like she’s half smiling. Jagged tattoos criss-cross her cheeks, which have grey lines across them. Deandara’s blunt black hair is sliced to her chin, with longer strands in front down to her shoulders. She wears a black and silver patterned robe. Personality: Deandara never shows emotion. Ever. Her heart is about as big as a cockroach’s, and she’s just well, evil. Her cruel delight comes from making people feel inferior and she enjoys turning allies against each other. Anything that hurts people she likes. She gets about as much joy from cruelness as most people do from a nice cupcake. Profession/Powers: Mind reading. Familiar? None. Loyalty: None. She’s assistant to one of the main “advisors” to the King Galdor Montereo the Arcanite **Rebellion Leader** Gal-door Mont-er-ee-oh Age: 93, 25 Race: Arcanite Gender: Male Location: Trancalem, the West Coast, by the Arcanite Training Academy. Appearance: Galdor’s skin tints towards orange, giving him an overly tanned look. His hair is dark dark brown, and when wet or dark outside, it looks black. It spikes up in the back, and falls into his face in front. His eyes are narrow and hazel and tilt towards his nose, which is sprinkled with tons of freckles, and turns up the tiniest bit at the tip. Personality: Galdor is very very serious. Sometimes it’s a very good thing, but he doesn’t like to goof around. He’s quick and efficient, and wise with his magical powers. He’s very easily angered and holds grudges. Great at battle plans though. Profession/Powers: He can heat things up with his eyes, and his element is fire. Familiar? No. Animals don’t like him much. Loyalty: Rebellion Leader Salerana Arride Kalsmala the Human **Rebellion Leader** (Sal-er-ah-nah Are-ee-day Kal-smah-lah) Age: 22 Race: Human Gender: Female Location: Carowen Appearance: Salerana has skin the color of milk chocolate and hair the color of midnight. She usually pulls her hair up and pins it on top of her head with a single hair comb ornament, inlaid with mother of pearl. She is petite, at 5’3 (and a half). Her eyes are, startlingly, an almost electric blue. She has three peircings in one ear. Usually, she wears pale blue full skirts, a white peasant blouse, and a lace up brown leather vest. Personality: Salerana is suited to be a leader. She is not quick to judge. Instead, she analyzes the whole situation and comes up with several possible outcomes before deciding what would be best. She does not immediately trust someone, but doesn’t turn them away. Salerana actually tends to over analyze, and can be a know-it-all, or sometimes vain. Profession/Powers: Super hearing power. She can hear whispers up to ten miles away when she chooses to. Loyalty: Rebellion Leader. Lasotor Spiritseeker the Forest Elf **Rebellion Leader** Age: 6793; 48 Race: Forest Elf Gender: Male Location: Maltrian Appearance: Lasotor has long, dark red hair with permanent streaks of grey that is loosely tied back for convenience. His eyes are a steely gray but they show kindness… most of the time. If you make him angry, his eyes become like slabs of ice. His nose is unusually long. Lastor has laugh lines around his eyes. He wears a golden circlet around his forehead and long white robes. A few scars cut his skin, as do wounds from when he was inept at magic. Personality: Lasotor has a deep bond with all the animals inhabiting the forest, and is not fond of civilization. He prefers to stay in the forest, solitary but for other forest elves. The welfare of all creatures is his greatest concern. When upset, or thinking, he draws deep within himself, becoming antisocial and distant. He loves the forest elves, and his quiet forested home, but sometimes he dreams of swimming away through the rivers with fish schools, running far with the deer, or joining the birds and never going back. He has deep insecurities that lie beneath the surface but can be awakened in times of trouble. They can be used to his advantage, but usually they only cause problems. Lasotor makes good decisions, for the most part. He just wants the best for everyone and everything, whatever it takes. Profession/Powers: Rebellion Leader; Power: Able to join animal’s minds, becoming the animal itself. He can stay in as long as he likes. Loyalty: Rebellion Leader Familiar: Bonded with all animals because of his power. Viven Learst the Arcanite Age: 17 Race: Arcanite Gender: Female Location: Port of Maltrian Appearance: Viven has skin pale as moonlight and very long, raven hair. She has large, black, sorrowful or indifferent eyes. Her fingers are long and slender, as is the rest of her. She wears her hair loose, falling over her face. Viven wears only black clothing; usually dark black full skirts and black petticoats, and a long sleeve, high collared frilly shirt. Her skin is absolutely flawless, and people tend to look right through her, as though she’s not even there at all… Personality: Viven is a depressed, dark, morbid person. She can often be found sitting, frowning, thinking about death and other dark topics. Viven is never happy. She is most at home in graveyards and dark and unnerving forests. She lives in a large, dark, deserted, crumbling giant old mansion. It is said to be haunted, which it is, by Viven and other things. Viven is fairly rich. The inside of her mansion is run down, but she has never bothered to fix it. In fact, the cobwebs, peeling wallpaper, broken windows, creaking floorboards, and general scariness of the place make her feel right at home. She uses old, formal speech. When her parents tried to teach her her letters, it was torture to spell her own name. She envied the girls that had names like “Effie” or “Wren”. Then she tasted a pomegranate, and has loved her name ever since. Pomegranate has almost always got a smile, but she its rather lazy. She dislikes hard work, but she does like food a lot. When someone teases her about her weight, or her name, she usually laughs in their face, though it does still hurt. Pomegranate, because of her profession, is good at not showing her emotions, and thus keeps most things on the inside, which makes her susceptible to sudden outbursts and bursting into tears at ordinary things, like “Pomegranate, are you hungry?” Profession/Powers: Tavern maid, no powers. Loyalty: Rebellion, of course. rattyjol: Dema Kerz the Forest Elf Age: 54; looks 14 Race: Forest Elf Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Long, glossy black hair; sparkling green eyes; average height and sort of skinny; has a long scar down one arm. He's short and kind of skinny, but don't let that fool you: he's an amazing fighter. Personality: He's serious and slightly distant, although not cold. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor and will never give up. He doesn't make friends lightly, so you're lucky just to get a smile out of him. Profession/Powers: Um... being a dragonite, I guess. No powers other than that. Loyalty: Isn't quite sure yet, but leaning towards Rebellion. Familiar? Yep, see below. He has long white-blonde hair that he keeps tied back in a ponytail and light brown skin. His eyes are either stormy gray or sky blue, depending on his mood. Personality: He's friendly enough, unless he has a reason to distrust you. And he doesn't...right? It's difficult to gain his complete trust, although he may share a few things easily. Once he's a friend, he's fiercely loyal. If he tells you things he shouldn't, then decides you're not trustworthy... all I can say is, you're in trouble. Profession/Powers: He can control storms, and even conjure them, although it takes quite a bit of energy. Usually he'll just summon a storm from far away. Loyalty: Rebellion Familiar? Kinzarli: Kiri Stryder the Arcanite Age: 25, but looks 15 Race: Arcanite Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Kiri has pale skin with a shimmering silver undertone. Her hair is short, coming about to her shoulders, dark chestnut brown, and very thick and wavy. She always wears it in a medium-height ponytail tied with a black strip of leather. Her eyes are an unusual shade of silver-blue, too cold to be silver but too bright to be blue. She is about five feet tall and average, but strong, build. She absolutely refuses to wear a skirt, choosing tomboyish clothing. Personality: Kiri is generally a hyper person who will always make a joke about something, even if she is stressing on the inside. Not very strong, unless he's been "feeding" (see powers) Personality: Doesn't have much of one. Pretty antisocial, but if you talk to him, he'll answer just so you will go away faster. Very cranky if he hasn't "fed" lately, but pretty violent in general no matter what. Profession/Powers: Able to drain the life energy of a person with his mind, weakening his victim and strengthening himself. Not like a vampire, because it isn't blood. It is life, hope, happiness, strength, all that good stuff. She is often mildly depressed, and finds consolation by exploring the woods around Maltrian. Loves the rain, and often gets in trouble for ditching school to go to the mountains on a particularly rainy day. Super shy. Very low self-esteem. Profession/Powers: Student, no powers. Loyalty: Rebellion. SasuSaku14 Kaycee Demi Levi Age: 27 Race: Human Gender: Female Location: Carowen Appearance: Dark brown hair, green eyes, pale skin, wears hair in a ponytail all the time, has a scar on her left arm. Personality: Very quiet, dislikes people that are very noisy, gets sad when she thinks about her parents, speaks her mind too much Profession/Powers: Seamstress Loyalty: Rebellion puppyloves Ithildin the Dragonite Age:Early twenties. Race:Dragonite Gender: Male. Location: He is more of a wanderer, but he lives more around Maltrian than anywhere else. Appearance: Ithildin has raven-black hair cut short, and feline-like bright blue eyes. He hardly ever smiles. He usually wears black, and always wears a long black cloak, and disguises himself usually as a human, so he can walk with them and not be suspected. Personality:Ithildin has a normally quiet but not unpleasant attitude - though many people find him suspicious. He has a short temper under stress, and a tendency not to give up until its to late. Profession/Powers: He is a more of a ranger, and a healer. He has the knowledge of healing. He also keeps his ears wide for any information concerning either side. Loyalty:The Rebellion. Familiar? Dragon! Name: Ingothold (In-goth-owld) Gender: Male Type: Dragon. Breath: ice. Appearance: His scales were a deep blue, the color of the sea at twilight, and shimmered like mithril mail in the early dawn. His wings where of a lighter shade, and there was a fire-star etched in his forehead, pierced in the very center by the first and smallest of his spikes on his forehead. His eyes where hard to describe… both young and old, with the merriment and innocence of youth and deep wisdom of mind. Though many said it was true wisdom he lacked… and thoughtfulness instead that you could see. His eyes where a golden-yellow, in the middle, but ringed with a tinge of dark blue, and a slash in the middle like a stretched diamond, like a cat’s eye. He was neither small nor large for his kind, and his wings where splashed with light blue, as if water was dripping off them. They where covered in scales, though not as hard as the ones that covered his body, but like fish-scales, small and pierced easily. His wings where also fanned like a bats’ and a sword-like tip ended each wing-bone, visible even through the membrane of his wing. His face was long and angular, like both a horses’ and a reptiles. A carved row of razor-sharp spikes appeared along his jaw, and swept up then disappeared. A row of knife-like spikes ran from his forehead to his tail-tip, and crowned with a long, curved spike, like the blade of the Easterlings who had joined The Shadow in The Third Age. His tongue was forked like a snakes’ and a bright scarlet, and flicked in and out, giving him a uncanny sense of smell and taste. His Claws where unusually long, and, like his spikes, pure black, and shone in any light no matter how dim. Three extended from his paw and a fourth in the back, all the easier to cling to branches in a stiff wind. His fire was another and most odd thing about him… it was neither true fire, nor true ice, for one of his line before him had been of ArcticClan. It was a cold, burning fire. It would freeze, than burn any object, and burned like cold steel to the touch. It appeared as a tongue of ice-blue fire, tinged with red. He walked with a easy grace, and fought with a rage-filled ferocity, but a dreading fear, he flew with a unearthly grace, and sang with a unearthly note which filled whoever herd it with hope. Powers: Unknown. Personality: He is passive, but easily annoyed by questions to which the answer is obvious. He speaks slowly, voicing his thoughts, and only in the greatest need does he raise his voice or does his voice-tone change. He rarely looses his temper, but it grows easier under stress. He feels things with his heart, and examines them honestly, and seeks all truth in darkness. Though not to say he cannot be foolish at times (which he is, often making a fool out of himself)… he does what he feels in his heart to be right, however foolish they may seem later on. Dusk the Dragonite Name: Dusk Age: F ifteen seasons. Race: Dragonite Gender: Male. Location: More of a wanderer/loner Appearance: Dusk is extremely tall, with thin fingers, and a sharp attitude. He has intense blue eyes, and a sharp nose, his hair is black as coal, and falls strait to his shoulders. He always wears black, and has a dark cloak with a silvery-blue facet, the hood usually drawn up over his face. Personality: He has an easily irritable personality, with a good sense of right and wrong, as well as a taste for adventure, and the wind of change. Profession/Powers: He’s more of a Ranger… a traveler, but has a good hand for healing. Loyalty: Rebellion. Familiar: Dragon! Name:Valar Gender: Male. Type: Ice dragon. Appearance: Valar is a dark blue dragon, with midnight-blue stripes, and a sharp angular face. He breaths ice, and has sharp ice-blue eyes, as well as ice-blue-tipped claws, and a heart for the music of a flute.

Galdor walked along Trancalem's shores, the warm sea spray gently misiting his orange tinted face. It was good to be home. Home was where it all was. Galdor was deciding he might go for a meal at his favorite tavern when he remembered. He was now a Rebellion Leader. And he had stuff to do. Sighing and a bit frazzled, he set off at a jog to the Arcane Shelter, a tiny and isolated inn a few miles up the coastal cliffs. | | | 08-09-2009, 12:23 PM | #4 | You wish you were Gifted Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,868 | Re: Rebellion! ^Part Two: The Rebellion Rises^ Newcomers welcome! READ THE LEADERS NOTES! Breathing heavily, Galdor at last was in view of the inn. The Arcane Shelter was small, and shabby. The windows were coated in dust and grime, boards and roof shingles were splintering, and the whole thing was perched so precariously on the cliff face that it looked as if it might come down at any moment and splash into the rippling, cerulean waters below. It really wasn't much of a shelter, thought Galdor, gazing at it. | | | 08-09-2009, 01:06 PM | #5 | ಠ_ಠ Your mom. The road leading to the inn was thin and winding, overgrown with weeds and bracken. Small pebbles and bits of gravel spread over the surface. Galdor experimentally pushed his foot on the steep road. Bits of rock and dirt were dislodged. Gingerly, Galdor climbed the path. It seemed to be many miles long. | | | 08-10-2009, 05:28 PM | #10 | You wish you were Gifted Join Date: Feb 2008 Posts: 1,868 | Re: Rebellion! ^Part Two: The Rebellion Rises^ Newcomers welcome!
