Name: Myrae Elanea Sandshifter (Meer-eh Eh-lane-ee-uh)

Age: 183, looks and acts around 17

Race: Sand Elf

Gender: Female

Location: Brinzale, traveling to Carowan to join the DD’s main location.

Appearance: Myrae has dark tan skin that contrasts deeply with her moonlight hair, which falls to her knees when loose (most of the time). She is about six and a half feet tall, which is average for a sand elf, and she usually wears a strapless dark blue dress that comes to midthigh. Myrae uses midnight and silver face paint. She paints sapphire swirls from the sides of her face to her cheekbones, and a wishbone shape in silver that starts at her bottom lip and goes to her chin. She paints thick blue curls at the corners of her eyes and a blunt straight silver line across the bridge of her nose. Myrae wears thick gold cuffs and anklets, and always carries around a small dagger inscribed with opals.

Personality: Myrae was born into royalty but she has a thirst for adventure. She is brave and is a great warrior. She is skilled with swords. However, she tends to not think things through and ends up regretting her hasty decisions. It takes a very long time for her to begin to trust someone, but once she decides you’re worth it, she’ll be insanely loyal. She can’t take a joke. However, she will be the first to defend and the last still on the battle field. She has extreme will power and never gives up. So while she may be a bit stuck up and untouchable, she’ll put her life on the battlefield with no regret.

Familiar? Yep, a Desert Hawk.

Name: Karo

Gender: Male

Type: Desert Hawk

Appearance: Karo’s feathers are chocolate brown with hints of gold. His chest is gold and his head is light brown. His eyes are deep amber, and his golden beak is sharp and hooked. His feet and talons are unusually silver, and he wears a gold band around one ankle for identification to Myrae.

Powers: Karo can fly really fast, but it’s not actually a power.

Personality: Karo is very protective of Myrae and only trusts her. He looks upon all other animals with a bit of disdain. He let his guard down for Myrae, so she can understand him. He flies quickly, so he has gone on scouting missions and delivered messages for the Rebellion. He’s actually kind of a snob, but loves Myrae more than anything, though they frequently argue.

Katarina was falling asleep on Ramir's back as he flew through the wispy morning clouds. He growled to wake her up.
Remember what happened last time! He warned.

Kiki sat in the crook of a twisted oak tree, nibbling on a juicy red apple. Rosco was sleeping on the roots of the tree, full after a delicious meal of the bread and cheeses they'd stolen from the market an hour ago.

Myrae wiped the sand from her eyes and hurriedly continued towards the specks of green getting ever nearer. After three days of travelling through her desert home land, she was ready for a change in scenery. Faint mist rolled in, assuring her that the desert was receding, and Karo fluttered onto her shoulder.

Thin dawn clouds moved through the sky, a large shadow passing over her. Myrae craned her neck, and Karo took flight again to investigate. His golden hued feathers glinted.

Katarina rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and looked down at the landscape below. The desert was behind them, and trees were beginging to come into her vision. A golden speck fluttered underneath Ramir, and Katrina thought it might be a falcon or a hawk.
"Don't eat him!" instructed Katarina, feeling Ramir's stomach rumble,"He's such a pretty bird."

Name: Kelsey Netherweave Jones

Age: Right now, 17

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Location: In the forest due west of the roaring waterfall

Appearance: Kelsey has a birthmark in the shape of a star on her back, and she has a crooked nose. Her hair is wavy and has blonde highlights on brown hair. Her favorite part about herself is her smile. Her teeth are white with a few sploches of yellow, but over all, she has the best teeth in the land.

Personality: Kelsey's personality is determined by the mood she is in. She gets down when people tell her she isn't nice, or any put down like that. Most of the time, she is just hanging out in the kitchen or in meetings with the Rebellion.

Profession/Powers: Kelsey works for the chef of the king, and finds out many things about the King for the rebellion. Her power is making little things hover, but she is getting better. The best she has done is making her bowl move from the sink and back.

Familiar? Nope

Loyalty: Kelsey is in the Rebellion, and is only working for the King's chef for secret info.

Karo's keen ears heard a rumbling sound, and for fear of becoming breakfast, he swerved and dived towards earth- but not before hearing the comment about how pretty he was. Proudly, he once again landed on Myrae's shoulder.

"Girl and dragon." He cawed, preening his feathers.

Myrae rolled her eyes at Karo's vanity and continued walking. A girl and a dragon was nothing to worry about.

"We'll be out of the desert within an hour," Karo added.

Myrae's eyes widened in relief. "Really? Are you sure?"

"Am I ever not sure?" Karo replied snidely.

Myrae rolled her eyes again, but this time took off running, kicking sand up beneath her, not bothering to think of how easy she would be to spot out of the desert. Not many people were six and a half feet tall, or had silver hair. But as always, she ignored that tiny nagging sense and sprinted even faster North towards the trees.

Ramir glanced at Katarina briefly, then asked,"Do you think we should land? That's the first sign of life we've seen in awhile."
Katarina cocked her head,"And how's a hawk gonna help us?"
"He was with an elf," pointed out Ramir. Without waiting for Katarina's response, he folded his wings slightly, and dropped his elevation slowly. Normally, Ramir would've dove straight down, but that made Katarina's eardrums pop, and she always complained about it later.

Myrae felt the shadow's shade before she saw it. Nervous, she kept running towards the trees for shelter. If that draconite was working for the king, she would know Myrae was with the rebellion in an instant. Karo let out an alarmed squawk and flew above, until he was level with the dragon. Myrae let out a stream of sand elf curses and used the speed all Sand Elves were born with, to avoid sand storms, but she didn't reach the trees in time. Karo and the dragon were both banking, their wings tucked in, towards the ground. She would never get those extra miles in time, even with the speed.
