Rebellion
High King Elcade is the ruler of your country, Kantalia, a mere ink splotch on the vast map of Restaezar, the world beyond. Lately, King Elcade has been acting strangely… he has been marching off to sudden wars in lands of what were once allies’, and Kantalia’s empire is growing. The High King has removed several of his most trusted advisors, replaced with a group of mysterious, cloaked figures that call themselves the Strand Seekers. They’re suspicious, in your opinion, and you grow tired of this once fair leader’s rule. One day, while out in the Carowan market place, a tall figure in hooded robes approaches you. You try to make out the face, but the large hood casts too much of a shadow.
“High King Elcade has fallen prey to what has consumed many men. The Strand Seekers are sapping his power, convincing him to expand Kantalia’s borders, until the whole world has been taken. As soon as this happens, the Strand Seekers will assassinate the king, and all of Restaezar will succumb to their darkness. Come,” the character says in a haunting voice, setting off at a brisk pace. “The Rebellion begins.”

~Those of you who have read the handbooks know that I need Rebellion leaders! If you would like to be a leader, submit your desired character. We need two each for Maltrian, Trancalem, and Carowan. One of each will be me, but one will be a member. The rules? Your character must be in the intended location, and you can only submit one. It must be an existing character. Your character will not be added because you were first: I will check you character’s personality to make sure that they are able to lead a rebellion, so choose carefully. Also, please submit your characters in each location’s Rebellion. i.e. Your characters in each region in the rebellion.
A bit of background on the setting:
· This RP is set in a magical, medieval type world.
· The world is known as Restaezar, and similar to our own in terms of continents.
· Kantalia is a large island (Australia, maybe?) with different regions:
-The middle region, called Carowan, is fertile and lush. The climate is warm, with seasonable rains. It is surrounded by the two rivers, East Pasterdale and West Pasterdale. It is where Kantalia’s main capital of Yzanwer is located, and also the main palace.
- The east coast is mountain and forest. It is called Maltrian and often rains there. It is damp and cold, but has one of the best ports in Kantalia, and several of its highest peaks. It is rumored that an ancient elf race lives up at the top of those aeries, but no one knows for sure. The rocky forests and cliffs make for great breeding points for dragons.
- Driszale is in the north, and it is mostly desert. A great place for trading, it is often inaccessible to people who aren’t merchants but makes a good solitary place for secret societies.
- To the south is Brinzale. Like its northern counterpart, it too is desert, and is a great military base. It is top secret and only soldiers are allowed to enter. It is rumored that an elf race lives here as well, deep in the desert where they are unreachable.
- The west coast, Trancalem, is warm and wet, and is a training facility. Many of the top arcane schools are here, and its beach cliffs are a favorite amongst young dragons. This is pretty much the magic central of the world.
· All of Kantalia has great stone walls and gates protecting from attack.
· The Rebellion against High King Elcade and his Strand Seekers is an underground facility that contains many different races with many different skills. All are appreciated, from the highest ranking arcanite to the lowly blacksmith. The Rebellion seeks to overthrow High King Elcade before this contamination spreads and all the lands of the world fall to the death and disease of the Strand Seekers.
- Where the Strand Seekers name comes from remains undetermined, but the Rebellion is doing as much research into it as possible.
Characters you can choose to play as:
Races:
All of these races can have a part in the Rebellion, or you can choose to be loyal to the High King.
· Human:
- A person, with a profession, a logical appearance, and traits. Some humans chance upon having one unexplained magical power. **Only one human with a magical power per Role-Player, but it can be any power you want, as long as it isn’t a stacking power. i.e. Water Power: Can breathe under and control water is a stacking power. You would only be able to have one of those powers.
· Arcanite:
- Resemblance similar to humans, but their ears are slightly pointed and their skin is tinted towards a strange color, such as purple. A lot of the time, their skin tint reflects just a bit of their personality. Rarely, you come upon an Arcanite whose skin tint changes depending on mood. Arcanites know a variety of magical spells and they all have a few distinct magical powers of their own. Arcanites maintain a youthful appearance their whole life and they averagely look to be around sixteen or seventeen. In rare cases, an Arcanite looks like a young child, but never looks younger than seven. **Has 1-2 powers.
· Dragonite:
-A human with no magical powers that has Bonded with a dragon. All dragons have one to three magical powers, and distinct appearances and personalities. A human must Bond with a dragon before that dragon will trust the human. The Bond is formed when the human is unafraid, and approaches with nothing more than a simple knife. The human will cut a small incision into their hand, and the dragon will go through a ritual that is different for every human. Afterwards, the dragon is loyal to the human, and they have a better Bond than they would with any other human. **The dragonites and dragons communicate with thoughts, and the dragon will let the dragonite ride it. For more details on dragons, see the Dragonite hand book.
· Sand Elf:
- An elf of the desert region of Brinzale, they are separated from the other races. Their skin is tan and their hair is often lightly colored, and they are very tall. They mark their faces with unique patterns of face paint and wear arm and leg bands depending on their status. **Wood bands are ordinary, silver are for warriors and higher ranks, and gold is the highest of them all. ***Can have 1-2 powers.
· Forest Elf:
- The Forest Elves live in the region of Maltrian on the high peaks and in the forests. They can ride the gryphons (half lion, half eagles) there, and many have their own trained gryphon instead of a horse. They communicate with animals. Red hair in all shades and darker green eyes are common among them, along with incredible height. They wear loose white robes and circlets depending on status, with leaves and branches for ordinary folk, silver for the warriors, and gold for the leaders. **Can have 1-2 powers.
· Strand Seeker:
- The Strand Seekers’ skin is always deathly pale and their hair is always black. They are a dark race with a deadly aura and they spread disease and destruction. However, they have power beyond imagining that many have coveted. They are loyal to no one, and, even though they might pretend against it, their mission is to convert this world to a place of misery and despair. **Can have 1-2 powers

All of the races can have a familiar/pet that they keep with them. The familiar can be any sort of animal, but no magical animals please, unless you’re a Sand Elf, Forest Elf, Strand Seeker, or Arcanite.

Myrae Elanea Sandshifter the Sand Elf
Age: 183, looks and acts around 17 Race: Sand Elf Gender: Female Location: Brinzale, traveling to Carowan to join the Rebellion’s main location. Appearance: Myrae has dark tan skin that contrasts deeply with her moonlight hair, which falls to her knees when loose (most of the time). She is about six and a half feet tall, which is average for a sand elf, and she usually wears a strapless dark blue dress that comes to mid-thigh. Myrae uses midnight and silver face paint. She paints sapphire swirls from the sides of her face to her cheekbones, and a wishbone shape in silver that starts at her bottom lip and goes to her chin. She paints thick blue curls at the corners of her eyes and a blunt straight silver line across the bridge of her nose. Myrae wears thick gold cuffs and anklets, and always carries around a small dagger inscribed with opals. Personality: Myrae was born into royalty but she has a thirst for adventure. She is brave and is a great warrior. She is skilled with swords. However, she tends to not think things through and ends up regretting her hasty decisions. It takes a very long time for her to begin to trust someone, but once she decides you’re worth it, she’ll be insanely loyal. She can’t take a joke. However, she will be the first to defend and the last still on the battle field. She has extreme will power and never gives up. So while she may be a bit stuck up and untouchable, she’ll put her life on the battlefield with no regret. Profession/Powers: None. Familiar? Yep, a Desert Hawk. Loyalty: Rebellion, duh. Dragon or Familiar form: Name: Karo Gender: Male Type: Desert Hawk Appearance: Karo’s feathers are chocolate brown with hints of gold. His chest is gold and his head is light brown. His eyes are deep amber, and his golden beak is sharp and hooked. His feet and talons are unusually silver, and he wears a gold band around one ankle for identification to Myrae. Powers: Karo can fly really fast, but it’s not actually a power. Personality: Karo is very protective of Myrae and only trusts her. He looks upon all other animals with a bit of disdain. He let his guard down for Myrae, so she can understand him. He flies quickly, so he has gone on scouting missions and delivered messages for the Rebellion. He’s actually kind of a snob, but loves Myrae more than anything, though they frequently argue.
Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher the Forest Elf
Age: 35, really very young, looks 18 Race: Forest Elf Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Long ruby hair that she wears in a loose ponytail, and VERY dark green eyes. Her skin is pale, but not too bad. She’s about five and a half feet tall, very petite for an elf. She always wears a white robe and a leaf-and-branch circlet. She carries a hip pack with her containing some useful herbs. Personality: Kaarylaenia is very shy and serious. Some see her as stuck up because she hardly ever talks. She won’t stand up for herself or for anyone, because she is too scared. She is a bit of a coward and often runs away from her problems. She is also a very skilled gryphon rider, and a talented writer and singer. She writes ballads that she sings when she is alone. She is the sixth in the house of Malerai. Profession/Powers: None Familiar? Yeppers, a gryphon. Loyalty: Still deciding, but she thinks King Elcade is going a bit far. However, elves aren’t governed by the king, so she doesn’t really know where her loyalties lie. Familiar: Name: Aeradon (Air-uh-dawn) Gender: Female Type: Gryphon Appearance: Tawny, with dark brown feathers. Her beak and talons are black, but her eyes are kind Powers: None. Personality: Pretty much the exact opposite of her rider. She is outgoing and loves to have fun. If something is wrong, she’ll do something about it. She is completely fearless and quick to come to someone’s aid.
Deandara LaQantas the Strand Seeker
Age: 1347, but looks to be around 23 Race: Strand Seeker Gender: Female. Location: Yzanwer, at the main palace. Appearance: Deandara’s skin is deathly white with unhealthy hints of grey. Her eyes are coal black, with narrow yellow slits as irises like a cat. Of course, you can never see them because she always wears a deep black cowl that casts the upper part of her face in shadow. Her lips are deep purple and twisted to look like she’s half smiling. Jagged tattoos criss-cross her cheeks, which have grey lines across them. Deandara’s blunt black hair is sliced to her chin, with longer strands in front down to her shoulders. She wears a black and silver patterned robe. Personality: Deandara never shows emotion. Ever. Her heart is about as big as a cockroach’s, and she’s just well, evil. Her cruel delight comes from making people feel inferior and she enjoys turning allies against each other. Anything that hurts people she likes. She gets about as much joy from cruelness as most people do from a nice cupcake. Profession/Powers: Mind reading. Familiar? None. Loyalty: None. She’s assistant to one of the main “advisors” to the King.
Galdor Montereo the Arcanite
Age: 93, 25 Race: Arcanite Gender: Male Location: Trancalem, the West Coast, by the Arcanite Training Academy. Appearance: Galdor’s skin tints towards orange, giving him an overly tanned look. His hair is dark dark brown, and when wet or dark outside, it looks black. It spikes up in the back, and falls into his face in front. His eyes are narrow and hazel and tilt towards his nose, which is sprinkled with tons of freckles, and turns up the tiniest bit at the tip. Personality: Galdor is very very serious. Sometimes it’s a very good thing, but he doesn’t like to goof around. He’s quick and efficient, and wise with his magical powers. He’s very easily angered and holds grudges. Great at battle plans though. Profession/Powers: He can heat things up with his eyes, and his element is fire. Familiar? No. Animals don’t like him much. Loyalty: Do you need to even ask? Rebellion!

Age - 46; 15 Race - Forest Elf Gender - Female Location - Maltrian Appearance - Red-gold curly hair that's the length of her back. Her eyes are a very dark green and appear to have a lot of depth. She stands 5' tall and is thin. Her skin is very pale and she has long fingers. Personality - Quiet and resourceful, but she can be hostile to strangers. She enjoys being alone most of the time. Powers – None, she's a regular elf. Pet - A small brown sparrow. Loyalty - Rebellion Name- Aelfgifu Gender-Male Type- Sparrow Appearance- Small, could fit in your palm. He's got dusty brown colored feathers, and a yellow beak. He's quite plump. His eyes are black. Powers- None Personality- Cheerful, almost annoyingly so, personality. He enjoys chirping incessantly.
Althedreda Gwenn Battlecreek the Human
Age- 16 Race- Human Appearance: Long, corn silk hair with a bit of a wave. Her eyes are grey. Her skin has a rosy tint. She's rather tall and gangly. She has a scar beneath her right eye from where she was hit by a rock. Personality- She's very confident and outgoing. She's very humorous and enjoys singing to pass the time. On the downside, she's a little over-confident and haughty sometimes. Power/Profession: She's a servant in the house of a wealthy family. Familiar- A small red fox. Familar- Name- Petranova Gender- Female Type of Animal- Fox Appearance- Petranova has russet fur. The tip of her bushy tail has white on it. Her paws are also white. Personality- Cunning and stealthy. Petranova is primarily alone or by Atheldreda's side.

Age- 234; looks about 19 Race- Arcanite Appearance- Her skin is a light, ashy gray, giving her the appearance of being in bad health. Really, she's quite fit. She stands about 5' 6'' and is muscular. Her hair is the color of moonlight, and her irises are black like her pupils, giving her an odd look. Personality- Evangeline lives alone. She's not very trusting, and can come off as unfriendly. Once you know her, she's quite friendly and agreeable, but has awful mood swings. Location- Yzanwer. But she moves constantly. Powers- She can control people's immediate decisions by unnatural influence. Familiar- None. Animals are almost repelled by her. Loyalty- Undecided. She doesn't trust anyone.
Penelope Rebelgraft the Arcanite
Age- 106; 23 Race- Arcanite Location- Yzanwer. Description- She has hot pink skin and hair that's a midnight blue. Her eyes are a violet color, giving Penelope a very austere appearance. She's kind of short, and a little plump. Her nails are short and clean, and her fingers are long. Her hands are very rough though, like leather. Personality- Penelope loves to have fun, but knows when to be serious. She's also extremely gullible, making her a good target for any mischief. She makes friends fast and has lots of them, in all sorts of places. This gets her into trouble sometimes, but most of the time having "friends in high places" tends to be more helpful than hurtful. Pet- A salamander Familiar- Name- Pinasche Breed- Salamander Appearance- Pinasche is a small blue salamander with silvery scales on her face. She has a long thin tail. Personality- Enjoys hiding and investigating small holes.

Age- 15 Race- Human Appearance- Thin, light blonde hair. Her eyes are a light blue and her skin is tan from working in the fields. She's lean and muscular from working and helping to care for her many brothers and sisters. She has tough skin that feels leathery. Her nails are dirty and ragged from being chewed on when she's nervous. Personality- She has a happy-go-lucky disposition, and is very friendly. She's kind and trusting, not to mention gullible. But sometimes she's a little too trusting... Familiar- None Location- A small village

Calder Coventee the Forest Elf
Race: Forest Elf Gender: Male Location: Maltrian, in the forest Appearance: Calder is a tall boy with a skinny, but athletically built body. Calder has brown hair that is short and partly spiky. He has lime green eyes that hold many secrets. He always wears a hat made from berry bush, and a white flowy robe. He always has a leather bound book that he writes all his ideas in for his books, drawings, and secrets. Usually he wears berry bush shoes. Personality: Calder is a smart, wise, witty, and creative boy. Usually he is quiet, and has his nose in a book. When he is around people (which is a very seldom thing) he is calm, relaxing, and almost never talks. Calder has a big problem with being sarcastic to grown –ups, and kids alike. When you anger Calder for fun, he doesn’t take it as fun, he takes it as you hate him forever. Overall Calder is a nice, smart, boy, but when angered he can be bone chilling. Profession/Powers: if an elf can have powers he has the power to grow herbs. (can he be a healer?) Loyalty: Rebellion Familiar? Name: Tealeaf Gender: Male Type: Little owl Appearance: A small gray owl. He has a dark gray leaf birthmark on his right eye. He has stormy gray eyes. White speckles all over his feathers. Powers: Noperz Personality: Smart, wise, witty. Comes to see Calder at midnight every night. He is a shy bird. He loves all the elves but he is not keen to other races

Katarina the Dragonite
Age: 18 Race: Dragonite :] Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Katarina has pale tan skin [not deathly white, but there's some colour, y'know?] Her hair is shoulder-length and golden-brown. She usually leaves it down, but for formal occasions or when she's trying to make an impression on someone she wears it pinned up neatly. Her eyes are dark brown- almost black, but they are warm and friendly. Katarina is medium-height, but has fairly long legs. She usually wears some sort of shirt and pants [they're great for riding]. However, Kat LOVES to get dressed up very fancy! Personality: Kat is kinda shy, but otherwise very nice. She's easily spooked and kinda jittery, so she always keeps her buddy Ramir nearby. Profession/Powers: Katarina is a cook. Familiar? Yes, her dragon Ramir Loyalty: Pfft, Rebellion! Name: Ramir Gender: Male Type: Dragon Appearance: Ramir is a short-legged, dark brown dragon. He has a tall crest on his head, similar to that of a cockatoo's and his eyes are deep ruby red. He has thick gold bands embedded with diamonds around all of his ankles. His lethal claws are oynx black, but his most powerful weapon is his thick tail, which he can crush a small ship within one hit. Powers: He can shrink down into a small, brown lizard. Personality: Ramir is quiet, and doesn't like to talk much [except to Katarina, of course]. He's wise beyond his years, and is sometimes a little stubborn.

Age: 8 Race: Human Gender: Female Location: Carowan Appearance: Kiki is short and....cute. She has short, curly black hair and wide green eyes. She wears her hair down, but she always wears a different colour ribbon with it every day. Kiki doesn't change clothes much; she usually wears a tattered brown dress with colourful patches on it. Personality: Kiki is charming and cute. She lives alone, but has always been able to manage, somehow, usually making money by doing odd jobs or even stealing. She's always there when you need her, and will do anything....for a small price, of course. Profession/Powers: Thief would be the closest thing to describe her job. Familiar? Rosco the 'alley' cat. Loyalty: Loyalty doesn't exist in Kiki's world. Name: Rosco Gender: Male Type: Cat Appearance: Rosco has long, wild fur that grows wherever it wants to. He has a sloppy, unkempt nasty appearance, which perfectly matches his selfish attitude. His fur is a mix of orange and blacks and browns and piercing green eyes that match Kiki's. Powers: None Personality: Rosco is a trickster, and cares for no one except Kiki, and anyone Kiki says is a friend. He's clever and sly and is good at stealing food from people. xP

Kelsey Netherweave Jones the Human
Age: Right now, 17. Race: Human Gender: Female Location: In the forest, due west of the roaring waterfall Appearance: Kelsey has a birthmark in the shape of a star on her back, and she has a crooked nose. Her hair is wavy and has blonde highlights on brown hair. Her favorite part about herself is her smile. Her teeth are white with a few splotches of yellow, but over all, she has the best teeth in the land. Personality: Kelsey's personality is determined by the mood she is in. She gets down when people tell her she isn't nice, or any put down like that. Most of the time, she is just hanging out in the kitchen or in meetings with the Rebellion. Profession/Powers: Kelsey works for the chef of the king, and finds out many things about the King for the rebellion. Her power is making little things hover, but she is getting better. The best she has done is making her bowl move from the sink and back. Familiar? Nope Loyalty: Kelsey is in the Rebellion, and is only working for the King's chef for secret info.

Renna is a fairly young elf, her true age being around 75. Her appearance is of 19 Race: (Self explanatory.) Forest Elf Gender: (Self explanatory.) Renna is a tall slim elf with long red hair with brown streaks. Her eyes are a light forest green, sometimes compared to a new and unfolding fern. She has a few freckles dotting her face, and an odd shaped scar running along her left jaw line. She wears her thick hair in a loose bun, with some strands hanging over her face and concealing her right eye. Her normal clothing is a loose, crimson colored top, her pants fall just below her knees, and are the color of dirt; a couple rips in her pants show of her adventures. She is about 6'7, being normal height for an elf. A birthmark in the shape of a teardrop can be seen on her right ankle. And of course, her ears end in a point. Her eyes are deep, oceanic green. Many have said they could stare into the eyes of the female for many moons. Her lips are normal, a pale, peach color to them. She has a petite nose that compliments the reached of her features. She has very long, mid-back lengthed brown hair that is cut in layers that fall oaround her face. She usually keeps it up in a ponytail or braided. She has a lean build, muscled as most girls are. She has a short torso, but her legs make up for it. She carries herself in a very upright position. Appearance: Natalyn is around 6 feet tall, a large ration of her height being her long, lanky legs. She has two of them, by the way. She has short, jet black hair. Her hair is too short to fix up in any other way then just down. Matching her hair are her 2 black eyes. They are supposed to be brown, but all have told her they are black, and so be it. She has peachy pink lips and a normal sized nose. She wears no paint on her face, minus special occasions. In that case, she wears gold and blue lines painted across her forehead and a mess of blue and gold on the rest of her face. She has a slim, muscled form. She wears a leafy green colored knee length, thin strapped dress that was made for her by her late sister, Maralayna Shuck the second. She was killed at battle many moons ago. She has tanned skin, rough to the touch, tough from work of a tanner, darkened by the sun. Personality: Natalyn is an elf. She has a bit of an irritating aura [sp?] about her. Many find her a pest that needs to be rid of. She can run, too. Useful during fights. She can sneak through the opponents, running past them, not noticeable. A useful weapon. Another thing lovely about her is her way with leather and animal skins. She can have it prepared to be sewed within several days. Another lovely thing to have on your side. She has quick speech, her tone high and a small bit pitchy. This is also a factor of tolerance that many have to overcome. Though, Natalyn is very easy person to get along with and very trustworthy. Amberri Thong Wyll the Dragonite
Age: 17 Race: Dragonite Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Amberri has shiny, wavy black hair which reaches just beneath her shoulder blades with very curly ends. It's almost always down. On some days she may put a bit of it into a bun near the top of the back of her head, and let the rest hang back down; it actually looks pretty good. Her skin is a bit tanner than others, and the tip of her smallish nose has a single orange freckle on top. She has topaz blue eyes, with a faded black rim to each. She's also a little bit taller than others her age. In the palm of her right hand is the incision which she engraved to bond with her dragon. The scar looks like a "C" turned ninety degrees to the right, and the edges curled. Another thing that's a little different is her left knee. Oddly, it's faintly a bit redder than the other. Personality: Amber is very quiet physically, and not really athletic either. She can ride her dragon very well, and be quite the chatter box with her too, though. She's very smart, and can be considered one of the more nerdy people in the empire. Excluding her lips' expressions, it's really hard to tell whether she's always happy, sad, angry, or just a mix. Most of the time Amberri is either neutral or happy, but merely listening to something/one for a lengthy amount of time can really bore her. If there's one thing that could get her down, it'd be if someone she was close to got abducted, or asasinated (purposely spelled wrong due that a bad word is spelled within this word twice in a row). Of course, that's not the only thing; a rainy day or a vacant area when she wants to hang around can give the same effect. Profession/Powers: Amberri is a dressmaker. Familiar? Amber has a dragon, named Kiamond. Loyalty: Rebellion Dragon or Familiar form: Name: Kiamond Gender: Female Type: Kiamond is an air dragon. Appearance: Kiamond has silver scales, with thin sky blue ridges to them. Her eyes are a vague, cloudy violet, but she can still see perfectly. She has very light, lavender wings. She's got an onyx black belly, contrasted to the other parts of her body. On her back are faded grey spikes which align from small at the head, to larger at the spine, and become tiny at the tip of her matching isosceles. Down at her feet are darker grey nails which are used to get a grasp on the ground every once in a while when necessary. There are no horns on her head. Powers:Kiamond has an invisibility power; she can turn herself and/or others invisible, but not inaudible or -- well, like a ghost. Personality: Kiamond is a full-grown dragon with a very perky and nearly eternally happy side. If there was one thing that could bring her down, it would be when she doesn't have anyone to play around with for over an hour; for her that is almost tormenting. [xD] Unlike the human she's bonded to, Kiamond is very energetic, but could be a tiny bit more aware of her surroundings when it comes to weather. She won't care whether it's a sunny day or a tornado warning sometimes, and go flying around. Her skin is soft but tanned and her hair is dark chestnut brown with a large abundance of curls. On her right cheek she has a birthmark the shape of a moon. She always wears a necklace with a red ruby on it that glows in the light. She is rather small for her age. Personality: She is usually shy and quiet, dreaming in her own world. She has had a difficult past but will not tell anyone or speak about it. She loves the night time and usually spends her time outside, staring at the stars. She is a fast runner and can find her way easily. She sometimes has a hard time communicating with people because she is so quiet. She is used to being alone, and she is not afraid of much. Her largest fear is of being laughed at, embarrassed or similarly mistreated. However, she does have a good heart and once she has a person's trust and she trusts that person back, she can be a wonderful friend. Usually wearing high leather boots, black pants, a green long sleeved shirt and a fur/leather vest on top, and sometimes a fur cap. Has a birthmark the shape of a deer, but it is covered by his hair. Personality: Friendly, outgoing and brave. Can be nosy, sometimes says too much, and can change moods unexpectedly. Is rarely angry, but has a difficult past which he will not speak of. He lives alone in a small house at the edge of the forest, and only sees people when he goes into the village to sell what he has hunted. He is currently traveling in hopes of finding a better purpose in life. Profession/Powers: A good archer who uses this ability to hunt. Age: 15 Race: Dragonite Gender: Female Location: Maltrian Appearance: Medium brown hair that comes down to her mid back, average height for her age (at least on earth), not necessarily skinny but athletic and fit. Creamy skin, with a light tan. Grey-green eyes with long lashes, they betray her emotion more than the rest of her face put together. She can be smiling and laughing, but her eyes can look like they're about to cry. She can be angry, yelling and fighting, but her eyes can be happy an amused. You should trust her eyes. Personality: Aren can go from bubbly and laughing one minute, to screaming angry the next. She has a quick, fierce temper, and if she has reason to be, watch out. But if she is wrong, she'll see almost right away and apologize, most likely followed by a joke. She requires very little sleep, but when she does sleep, try not to wake her up. She can be grumpy when she first get up, definitely not a morning person, she's best at night. Profession/Powers: She doesn’t have a profession, just occasionally watching her younger brother and sisters. Familiar? Dragon, see below. Loyalty: Rebellion. Name: Lenoea Gender: Female Type: Lenoea is fire dragon Appearance: Medium for a dragon, with brilliant gold scales, dark, seemingly bottomless, gold eyes, and large, gold, bat-like wings. Powers: She can heal those around her. Personality: Though normally she doesn’t talk to humans, she talks very much to Aren, always giving her opinion. Fierce, she will fight for what she believes in, a very formidable opponent. Often sarcastic when talking to Aren.
Lyss Craeynia the Arcanite Age: Really 97, looks ( And mostly acts ) 17 Race: Arcanite Gender: Female Location: Carowan Appearance: Long, waist-length black hair, she always in hundreds of extremely small braids. Her skin is tinted pale blue, and her eyes are very dark blue. Medium hieght, very slim, though strong. There are a few freckles on the end of her nose that seem to be a medium blue. Personality: Quiet but deadly, except if you start talking about something she's interested in (swordsmanship, magic, or Strand Seekers) she will get very talkative and appears to know a lot, which she probably does. Loves to travel, and often does, but always returns to her home. Profession/Powers: She can turn invisible, and does so often. As for a job, like I said, she travels a lot, and loves to buy interesting things, to sell later on, or give away. Familiar? Belle, see below. Loyalty: Rebellion Name: Belle, or Bella, or BelleBelle ( Though only the last by Lyss ) Gender: Female Type: Cat
Appearance: Awkward. Her fur is grey, short, and sticks up constantly, no matter how many times Lyss bushes it. Yellow, obviously cat-like eyes. She's pretty fat, and her head might be a teeny bit too small. Her tail is to short, which some-how effects her balance. Personality: Again, awkward. She adores Lyss, but hates almost everyone else. Sort of vicious, attacks any intruders, unless Lyss feeds her catnip, which she is obsessed with. Will sleep nowhere but on top of Lyss's stomach, so she joins Lyss in her travels.

Human Handbook:
The Basics: Humans are the second youngest race of Restaezar, simply because all the others have been around for thousands of million years. Humans are a very versatile race. They can be ordinary working folk, or they can have a special, unexplained power able to change the world. Note on Powers: These powers are not passed down by generation, or common in a certain family. In fact, they spring up quite randomly. The powers are random as well: you might be granted the power to cause thunderstorms even if you are terrified of them. Humans without their own magical powers are the only race capable of becoming dragonites. (See Dragonite handbook) Main Location: Humans can be located all over the world, but the place with the most human density of all the races is most likely Carowan. There are humans in the port cities of Maltrian as well, but you rarely find them in the mountains. A few humans might be in Trancalem, but it is not a favorite. Merchants and trading families will most likely be living in Driszale, the top trading facility in Kantalia. Humans in the army of King Elcade will most likely be found in Brinzale, though it would be hard to find peaceful family life. Appearance of Humans in Kantalian Regions: While there are deep variations, of course, and there is obviously not just one look, people who have been in the same region for generations tend to have a little bit of the same look. Humans in Maltrian tend to have darker hair and pale skin, due to the lack of sunlight they get. In Carowan, lighter brown or blonde hair is common. The major trait here is, not in all cases, hazel eyes. Trancalem leaves you with light hair and medium tan skin, due to the high amount of sun. Brinzale and Driszale are desert, and leave you with horrible sun burns. Etiquette: Humans have a very simple form of etiquette. It is mostly self explanatory, for example, respect your elders, do not trouble higher ranks, and etc.
Dragonite Handbook
The youngest race of the current world, the Dragonites are very special. As humans with no magical powers, (see human handbook) the Dragonite is able to Bond with a dragon. *Note: Why can’t the human have magical powers? If the dragon notices the human has powers, it will feel like the person is capable on their own, and will not bond. Why do they cut their palm? The Dragonites cut their palm to show commitment, it is believed. The wound is supposedly symbolizing a blood pact, and the scar is to remind of it always. What happens afterward? It’s different for everyone, but generally the dragon approaches, sends a message to the Dragonite, asking some sort of task, or something similar. The Dragonite ensues; they fly together, and learn to trust each other, taking from 5 minutes to twenty-four hours. There can also be an instance where the dragon and rider are not destined, and the Dragonite will have to do it all over again with a different dragon. How are the Dragon and Dragonite destined? Well, it’s just up to the Fate and the Truth. It isn’t based on compatibility, gender, skills… it’s just destined. How is the Bond Special? The Bond is important because without it, the Dragon and Dragonite wouldn’t be able to function as a team. The Bond is final, and lasting. If a dragon were to die, or the dragonite, it would be devastating for the other. The Bond allows them to communicate with thoughts, though they will know each other so well by the end they will practically be able to predict what the other is thinking. All about dragons: Dragons are a mostly reptilian magical creature that you can find all over the world of Kantalia. They all have distinct appearances, personalities, and ways of thought, as well as up to three special powers. Dragon Appearance: Dragons almost always have scales, tails, talons, and of course, wings, but that’s about as close as you can get to a single appearance. Some wings look like bat wings, some are feathered, and some look like they’re made of pure light. Dragons can have crests, horns, feathers… pretty much anything goes in the world of dragons. Dragon Skills: All dragons can fly. Some can run fast on land, swim under water, and several other skills. Most dragons can breathe fire, though some can breathe ice, water, poison, etc. Dragon Types: Land dragons can run fast and fly. Nature dragons can breathe a poison and usually have a power with plants. Ice dragons breathe ice and have great traction for when they’re on land. Marine dragons can swim and breathe water. Peak dragons are great climbers. Flame dragons breathe fire hotter than the temperature of the sun and can withstand extreme temperatures. Other types exist too, so if you have a question, please ask me.
Arcanite Handbook
The Basics: Arcanites are younger then both the sand and forest elves, but still have been around for an incredibly long period. Arcanites are the masters of the arcane magic. They have their own powers, and they can cast an abundance of spells and enhancements on themselves and others. Main Location: Arcanites are mainly located in Trancalem, surrounded by academies of magic. It’s rare, but not impossible, you will find them elsewhere. Some Arcanite Spells: Arcanites have all sorts of spells. There are some spells for healing, some for long term damage, some for close combat, some for damage over time, some for long range combat, and some for large areas. There are enhancement spells for your speed, strength, stamina, regeneration, and others. Arcanite spells greatly differ. Arcanite Appearance: Arcanites have strange colored skin, or even skin that changes with their mood! They have pointed ears and a hint of fangs. They maintain a youthful experience all life. Arcanite Etiquette: Arcanites' etiquette is very similar to that of humans: self explanatory and simple.
Forest Elf Handbook:
The Basics: Forest Elves and Sand Elves are the oldest races. At one point, the Forest Elves and Sand Elves were one race, but disagreements ended up causing a war that few survived. The remaining Forest Elves moved to the cold, rainy mountains of Maltrian and set up different settlements and colonies, while the Sand Elves withdrew to Brinzale, protected by sand. The Forest Elves are an ancient race, elegant and refined. Etiquette: The Forest Elves have a very elaborate sense of etiquette. Listed are some terms. Saying Hello: Forest Elves begin with the word “Kaldorei”, or “Pleasure” in English. They then state their full name, and their house. **A note on houses: Forest Elves choose their own last names. For identification, the family has an ancient clan name. This is called the house. Using my charrie as an example: Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher, sixth in the house of Malerai, the Kaarylaenia Moonwatcher part is her chosen name. Her family name is Malerai, and she is the sixth descendant of that family. Saying Goodbye: Forest Elves say good bye several ways. The most common is “Treasure the Ancients”, though no one is quite sure how that more than ancient greeting came to be or what it means. You can invent your own etiquette terms, but tell me so I can add them! Appearance: Forest Elves usually have darker red hair, in length, and all shades of green eyes. They average from 5 and a half feet (being very short) and seven feet. Six feet is the most common, but seven is not rare. It is rarest to be less than six feet. They have large, pointed ears, and delicate features. Their bodies are streamlined, making them fast runners. Powers: Forest Elves can have one or two powers, and they usually have to do with nature. A forest elf could be able to use plants to their advantage, run quickly, heal, etc. It would be uncommon to have powers of mass destruction.

Sand Elves have complicated etiquette as well. Some terms are below.
Saying hello: Sand Elves introduce themselves by saying “Tilase” and then stating their own name, and their ancestry. i.e, Myrae Elanea Sandshifter, Daughter of Jinea and Kesh. They would add important titles to their line as well. For example, Daughter of Kesh, Chief of the Kevea tribe.
Saying Goodbye: Sand Elves say goodbye by saying, “Be forever safe from sandstorms”. It’s a very old phrase,

Sand Elves have dark tan skin, and very light hair, ranging from light brown to white. They have large pointed ears and average height is about 6 and a half feet. They wear unique face paint patterns of swirls, stripes, and circles.
Powers:
Sand Elves can have 1-2 powers as well, and they are battle powers. It can be the power to have incredible aim, the power to call on sandstorms… they are powers meant for battle.
Strand Seeker Handbook:
The Basics: Not much is known about this dark, deadly race. They thrive on pain and cruelty, and want to convert this world to despair, or so believed. Appearance:
Strand Seekers always have deathly white skin, like paper. They usually have black hair and eyes that are mostly black but tinged with red or yellow. They have cat eye pupils.
Powers:
Strand Seekers usually have dark powers such as mind reading or hypnosis.
Your Guide to The Rebellion
What is the Rebellion? The Rebellion is a secret facility looking to overthrow the king before world domination and before the strand seekers assassinate the king to take over the world. Rebellion Meeting Places:
In Maltrian: Halfway past the port, there is a tavern called the “Wave of Truth”. You are to enter the tavern and go towards the Storage Room. A guard will stop you and ask, “What do you need?” You will respond, “A sack of oats and a pint of nobility.” After the guard lets you in, you go down the stairs into the storage room, where you will see five kegs against one wall. You are to go to the one in the middle, find the loose plank on the left side, and take out the key. Then, you unlock the door to your right, and are in the secret meeting room.

In Carowen: In the market place, there is a shop called, “The Risen Star”, directly south of the main palace, and it sells potion ingredients. The lady at the counter will ask you, “What do you seek?” You will answer, “A potion to cure the most wounded soul, and one to cleanse the earth.” She will admit you behind the counter, and you are to go down the secret stair concealed in it (you’ll have to crawl to get through the opening) and you will arrive in the Rebellion meeting place.

In Trancalem: Next to the Arcanite Academy, there is a small inn, the “Arcane Shelter”. Once you go in, head to a table. The serving girl will ask you, “What may I get you?” Your answer is “Many arcane spells and a glass of water.” She will lead you to the top room and unlock the door, and you will be in the rebellion meeting place.

Appearance: Calder is a tall boy with a skinny, but athletically built body. Calder has brown hair that is short and partly spiky. He has lime green eyes that hold many secrets. He always wears a hat made from berry bush. a white flowy robe. He always has a leather bound book that he writes all his ideas in for his books, drawings, and secrets. Usually he wears berry bush soes.
Personality: Calder is a smart, wise, witty, and creative boy. Usually he is quiet, and has his nose in a book. When he is around people (which is a very seldom thing) he is calm, relaxing, and almost never talks. Calder has a big problem with being sarcastic to grown –ups, and kids alike. When you anger Calder for fun, he doesn’t take it as fun he takes it as you hate him forever. Overall Calder is a nice, smart, boy, but when angered he can be bone chilling.
Profession/Powers: if an elf can have powers he has the power to grow herbs. (can he be a healer?)
