Ruslin took time to go over her words. He smiled at her, but inside his mind whirled. I'm her mate, the king. What she said... means that I could drive her to flourishment... or doom. What if I do something by mistake? What if I have a female friend and she takes it wrong? What if I leave for something or get lost and she thinks I've left her? I must make sure she knows I'll always love her first... I must make sure she knows that she has that same control over me. He gulped, thinking of something to say verbally. "Likewise, Sarabi... my life lies in your paws. Yet I don't have cubs yet, not until their born. Precious royal cubs. And you do, Sarabi. Though you can persevere through cuts, bruises and gashes, our cub's can't, and you need to remember that, you need to be careful." His voice grew soft and sensitive. "If those cubs get hurt, it can hurt you too. Both physically and emotionally. They could injure themselves you if you rough them into a different position. Then you'd be heartbroken. And we are like one, Sarabi. I'd be heartbroken too."

She sighed. "I guess you're right. But emotionally, right now, besides our cubs, you're the only one that could really hurt me. Death means nothing. We'd go to StarPride and be with each other eternally....But for right now in my stage, I look to you for comfort and love, as I have my whole life I've known you." She gazed into his eyes. "Don't let me go," she whispered. Sarabi leaned her head against his chest, purring.

Ruslin laughed softly, nuzzling her once again. "I promise, Sarabi, we'll thrive. Together. Forever." He sighed, making himself loose in her grip, yet not wanting to break away without her consent. "But I worry about you out here in the open, and the cubs. You can hold me tight for as long as you want in the nursery... please?" The normal-sized yet lemur-like lion sighed. "Lets ditch the other Goldenpriders, the loners, the hyenas, and all of the trampling hooves of assorted animals, if you don't mind." His akward and shy smile was extremely unique.

Titus pricked his ears, catching the last thing Ruslin said. "And I thought I was at least her friend" he muttered sadly

Sarabi looked up, breaking the grip. "Ditch them? Hold you tight in the nursery?" She giggled. "Deal, but one question, how're we gonna ditch them?? We ARE the rulers, ya know."

Ruslin grinned devilishly. "We're gonna do it the old fashion way. We're gonna walk up all high and mighty to the entrance of the nursery. In unison, we will kick the dirt off our back paws, showing that we are dusting ourselves clean of their presence. Then we hold our heads even higher, and disappear into the empty den in a super cool shadowy manner." He laughed.

She laughed. "Okay," she meowed, holding her head high and mighty as her mate put it.

Ruslin purred. He made her laughed. He loved her laugh. He nudged her playfully. "Okay missy, don't procrastinate. I know your avoiding it. I'm not as stupid or soft as you think. In the nursery you go!" He chuckled.
