**[OFFICIAL]**: Role Play Rules and Regulations - UPDATED 6/1/09

The staff has been made aware of some inappropriate posts in role-play threads. We know you love this section (as do we) and want to be able to keep it open. This is where YOU come in!

While creativity is encouraged, there need to be a few basic ground rules:

1) No graphic violence - the key there is graphic. Disagreements, strife, and struggle happen ... just nothing gross, bloody or gory.

2) Absolutely no physical romantic contact between people. No married couples, no children or pregnancies. Animals may have mates, but their romantic content should not go past a nuzzle or grooming.

3) No fighting amongst members - respect those in this area at all times. Should you have a problem, flag it.

4) No blatantly adult content. Language most be appropriate. Do not misspell things to get past the censor. Discussion of bodily functions is not allowed. All content must be suitable for those as young as 7 or 8 - keep it PG.

5) Remember this is not a chat area ... stick to character and leave the chat in open mike.

6) Youtube links are not allowed.

7) ONLY APPROVED roleplay threads are allowed here. Any new threads that are started will immediately be closed. If you want a role play, please pm Danathorn or MissGnomie. We have a waiting list, so you will not be allowed to start it right away.

8. Elite and super elite role play threads are NOT allowed. Semi-elite threads are allowed.

9) You may not use the artwork of others without permission.

10) You may not use red or blue ink, as they are reserved for mods.

11) When your character is speaking, you must use quotes. When you are speaking out of character, you need to use ( ) as in (I've got to leave.) or (What did I miss?) This is common courtesy in role-plays. If you do not follow this rule and have been warned several times, you may be banned from role-plays for a week.

12) Always use your best spelling, grammar, etc. We don't expect you to be perfect. We all make typos or have trouble spelling certain words. That's ok. It's not ok to make frequent typos, spelling, or grammar errors simply out of laziness.

13) Powerplaying and godmoding are strictly prohibited. Powerplaying means you are controlling the movements, thoughts, or actions of the character around you.

Godmoding is when you portray your character as an unbeatable, all powerful and almighty being who is flawless in every way possible.

14) No smoking, drugs or alcohol on rps.

15) Role-playing needs to take place on the threads. It is not allowed by pm or on profiles.

Thread owners must take responsibility for their own thread and report any violations. RP members are responsible for reporting as well. If threads are not properly monitored by owners and members, they will permanently be removed. If someone has multiple threads closed, he/she will not be able to start new ones. If someone consistently posts inappropriate content, he/she will not be allowed in this section, or on WI at all.
