I have like, four characters - total. I like to only start with one, and add more as I get more comfortable. I have no idea how you guys keep track of all of your characters and their personalities

Other than my three one Hogwarts, I just typed up a character form for FMTK, which I'm about to submit.
I'm actually really pleased with it, because she's one of the only characters for whom I actually have a intricate past.

Personality: Hailee’s a genuinely likeable person, friendly and kind to nearly everyone she meets. She loves to laugh and smile, and is always up for a good time. What is required to obtain these good times, she cares not. Despite her honest approach to things, Hailee is used to fibbing, something she’s learned through watching others. Being able to sense how one is really feeling, Hailee was able to recognize at a young age when people were being untruthful. Playing this to her own advantages, Hailee is a seasoned liar, although she only does when necessary. Typically a sincerely happy person, Hailee has a habit of hiding her true emotions, trying to keep a blissful disposition at all times, even when it is far from what she is truly feeling. Playing on her flaws, Hailee isn’t one to open up quickly. As a result of her shaky past and difficult home-life, she has developed a fear of abandonment, which causes her to be someone reserved on a personal level. Because of this, she is cautious as to whom she trusts, choosing to hide personal details from others until the individual has proven themselves trustworthy. Other than this, Hailee is a bubbly and social person, who enjoys the company of others.

Description: Straight, honey blonde hair frames her face, side swept bangs falling to her brow line. At its longest points, it descends down her back, ending at the lower tip of her shoulder blade. Her skin is tanned, only shades lighter than the hair atop her head, as a result of days spent in the sun. Even during the winter, this glow never seems to fade. Ocean blue eyes sit comfortably above her cheek bones, shaped like half circles. Each time she smiles, they light up in a way that can only be brought about by true happiness. When this action is a false one, it is clear by the lack of such a shine. Standing at a couple inches above five feet, Hailee is average as far as height is concerned. Her frame is slender but athletic, yet another result of days spent outdoors.

History: Growing up on the Jersey shore, from an early age Hailee led a comfortable life. As an only child adored by her parents, she had everything one could dream about. However, as a wise individual once said, you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone. When Hailee was only seven years old, her parents began arguing about matters of which she didn’t understand. Gradually, her mom started coming home from work later and later, staying out into all hours of the night. As time passed, she often didn’t come home at all, leaving the house for days at a time. Soon after this began, her parents split up after going through a nasty divorce. Ruled by the judge, Hailee was under joint custody, spending the school year at her father’s, and the summers with her mother. Just a year after these arrangements were made, Hailee was finally getting the hang of living in two places. Life seemed to be taking a turn for the better. That is, until her mother left unexpectedly one day, never to return.
It was just an ordinary Saturday morning when Hailee awoke, staggering to the kitchen half asleep in search of breakfast. Opening the white, wooden cabinets to find them empty, she soon spotted a note on the table, written in the spirally script that she recognized to be her mother’s.
“Gone to the grocery store. Be back soon.

Hailee read the note, placing it gingerly back down on the granite countertop as she waited for her mother to return with food.
However, false to her word, her mother never came back that morning, or that afternoon, or that night. She didn’t show up the next day, or the day after that. Hailee spend many lonely, hungry nights curled under her covers, scared and starving as she faithfully waited for her mother to come back. The day never came.
Many sleepless nights later, Hailee realized with a tear-stained face that her mother wasn’t ever going to return. From that day forward, Hailee learned to take care of herself, both physically and emotionally, doing so in the only way she knew.

xD Well, I make the forms more for my own reference, as opposed to anyone else's I kind of figure out how I want the character to be as I type it up, and then use it as a means of remembering

GRIFFIN MELLO WADE

NAME Griffin Mello Wade (nickname - Griff)

AGE 15

MONK OR STUDENT Student

GENDER Male

DESCRIPTION At first glance, Griffin may seem a bit sloppy, but this isn't the case. His hair is a shade of a darker brown, and it's fairly straight and shaggy, covering his right eye. It doesn't really shape his face too well, but it's no matter to Griff; it's not like he cares about that stuff at all. His face is still naturally well proportioned, though his lips are smaller than average. Griffin's large and slightly slanted eyes are unusual, as he can control the size of the pupil, which determines how much light enters the eye. This means that when it's dark, he can let himself see just as if it were light again. (This is his power, which will be explained more thoroughly in the "Ability" space of the form.) His iris' are completely black, blending in with the pupil. They look strange at first but you're bound to get used to them. However, surrounding his iris' are a thin, gold outline, which is also a rare site.

Griffin was chubby as a baby, as most babies are, and it didn't really wear off until he was about 11 or 12, when he started to work out (though he ended up being kicked out of most fitness centers due to his troublesome nature that he used to have). He ended up burning that baby fat and building some muscle. He ended up nothing like those bodybuilders you may see and awe over, but simply with a little less and more. He reaches up to about 5'8 and will probably grow to 5'11 or maybe even 6 feet. He doesn't usually care what he wears, as he perfers comfy over good looking, so his usual attire consists of either a button up or a simply black or navy T-shirt, accompanied with his favorite pair of jeans.

When his parents died in the car accident, protecting him, it was hard for Griffin to live with the guilt bestowed upon him. When he was younger, he had a tendency to be a troublemaker. Now, however, that has changed and he is quieter, less talkative. He still cracks a joke here and there, and you can still see his pleasant smile sometimes. But he's just not the same guy he was before. He doesn't like to be the center of attention and won't pry people for more information or beg to get what he wants, because he is satisfied with what he has. He learned to not take for granted what he had when his folks died, as he had done with them. He likes to lurk in the shadows more than be out where everyone can see him, and he enjoys a few friends rather than a big group.

Grif is one of those guys who can make someone feel bad accidentally. Sometimes, he says the wrong things and doesn't mean to hurt the other person, but it ends up doing exactly the opposite. He's not really a people pleaser, more of a lone wolf, and isn't self concious about what others think of him. (Something to keep in mind when talking to him- if he says something that can mean two things and one of them is offending, he means the other one.) Sometimes it's not too easy to talk to him, but at other times it may seem like you can tell him everything. He doesn't usually have the best advice, but he has the words to comfort, though no one ever comforted him.

HISTORY He was always different than others, always the odd one out. No one knew of his gift except his parents, and yet he still had some kind of separation from other people. His folks did everything they could to get him to try and fit in, but he refused seeing any kind of physcologist or doctor. Griffin had one friend, though, a boy his age named Mikel. One time, he told Mikel his secret. Though it really wasn't anything too big, he also told his friend about him being able to let others use his gift at the same time and asked him if he wanted to help, but Mikel was scared of this gifted child and told the police.

It wasn't a big concern of them, but they decided he should be put in a special place for unusual teenagers anyway. His parents knew that wouldn't be best for him, so they were driving him to his aunt's house 5 hours away from them to stay and hide, but on their way back, they were chased by the police because they refused to hand Grif over to have special care. They were speeding to get away and collided with a teenager driving under the influence.

He stayed with his aunt, who didn't like him too well. This may have been because she wasn't told why she had to keep him at her house, and thought it was for a mighty bad reason. He was overjoyed when he saw the letter on his bed, and immedietly went over to the abandoned house across the street.

ANIMAL SPIRIT Dajai, a male rhodesian ridgeback that gives off a warm, red glow.

ABILITY Griffin has nightvision! As a more logical way of putting it, he can control the size of his pupils, meaning when it is dark, he can make them so big so that he can see easily, when it is light he can make himself see darkness (but why would he want to do that?). He's actually trying to learn how to let others use his gift, because he knows there is a way to let two or three people use it at a time. All it takes is concentration, he was told.
