Official Role Play Discussion Thread

Kelly, do you think you're likely to join another, or do you prefer just doing one?

The rest of you....is it hard to keep track of what's going on in several threads (not to mention several sites?)

I know for me the draw in anything....books, movies, role-plays (back when I had time)...is characters. I want a lot of freedom to create a unique character and I also want the other people to have really detailed characters.

I also dislike when roleplays get cliqu-ey. Like, you have your character go up to another, and that other one just walks up to the character of their best friend, not even acknowledging yours.

Well, I used to be in...tons of roleplays. But now, I basically have For Me to Know on WI and then a few roleplays on Draggy's site. I've cut it down, and I like it better that way.

No, clique-y isn't good, though it is easy to get where your characters are involved in certain plots and then it's hard to mix with other characters. On Cerulean Bay, I tended to feel spread a little thin.

I don't like chat-speak, either....I don't mind a little if it's out of rp (like g2g) but I don't know that I'd be good at semi-elite. I tend to focus more on dialogue and less on narrative or description, so sometiimes I don't want to write more than one line.

I am a member of alot. Sometimes it is hard for me to keep track so I don't go on some everyday. I have also found out that owning one is hard work but it will help later in life. Like managment skills.

The good thing is for me, I only really am a part of multiple threads here, on WI, and at my roleplay forumsite. At WFRP, Victorious, and the other one who's name escapes me - they're mainly just on genre, and don't have a billion threads. Except for RPC, but I don't roleplay on there very much.

That's something that I'm having a hard time finding lately. Unique characters. As I said back in the thread Newms created...

You can't find very many unique characters anymore, and that's... troubling? Saddening? Disappointing, even?

I'm actually creating one of my first "official" warrior characters. His name is Nightstep, but that's all you shall know for now.

Sweet, kind, caring, loving. You never really see unique anymore. I myself have done this once or twice but thats it. When someone does it for evey charecter they have.........uh-uh.

I do a lot of other RPs. I do Cedar Valley & Crater Pack, For me to know, and some others I'm not very active on.

Ya then when people just make the wolf walk up to another wolf and atomaticly make them like the other wolf. THAT annoys me.
