Bright eyes glimmered across the darkend medow, watching their prey scurry across the tall grasses. The hunter moved forward, bunching her mucsles to spring. With a great leap, the fox's talons found their target. Sunari stepped away from her prey, and began to dig a small hole to store her catch.

Airness walked around camp sleepily. She had just woken up and was feeling a bit hungry. Although she was too tired to hunt in the forest, so she decided to try the river. Slowly she made her way there and stuck her claw in the water like a fishing hook. Her fur blended in the water and soon she caught a fish.

After the earth had been churned, it made a small indent in the soil. The pheonix-fox nosed the thrush into the small hole, covering it up until she was ready for it later. Sunari sighed, tired of hunting the same animals-- thrushs, mice, rabbits..-- she wanted to try something new. Fish. She whispered to herself, drinking in the scent of the river water. No, to dangerous. Sunari realized, shaking her head. Suddenly, the fox moved, instead of away, toward the water. Just because I can't touch the water doesn't mean I can't be near it.

(I have to get off my laptop... it's making weird noises... like it's over-heating or something. Bye! )

Airness expertly cut the fish in half, slowly pulling out the bones. When she had finished, she peeled off the scaly fish skin and cut the meat into small pieces, finally eating the pieces. 'I hate this fish raw' she thought then got an idea. She dug a small, shallow pit in the dirt beside the river and surrounded it with small pebbles she found in the water. After that, she flew up near a tree and carefully picked yellow and brown leaves that were dying and about to fall off.Then she landed by her pit and spread the leaves out inside the pit, to where no dirt showed. Finally, Airness flew into the woods, collected some large twigs, cut the twigs so they were equal size, took two particularly thick log-like twigs, rubbed them together until they caught fire , and sat them in the pit. She now had a small fire to cook with. Airness caught another fish, skinned it, cut it in half, took out the bones, and cooked it over the fire.
