Lupin's bright yellow eyes glimmered through the darkness of the rock den, making the only light visible. The she-wolf yawned, and leaped out of the hole, landing lightly on her paws outside. She swiped her tongue around her muzzle, and slowly made her way toward the fresh-kill pile to fetch breakfast.

Once his thrush was devoured, Yero tossed aside the remains, excepts for a tiny leg bone, which he began to gnaw on. His tail stirred up the dirt beside him as it waved fiercly back and forth.
