How to find LEGAL images to use

Yes, you can order them from sites like that and tell them what you are using them for.

What I was responding to was the person that said getty images allows use of royalty free images for free. That is not true and is not what royalty free means. Stay away from stock photography sites altogether. Lifting images from them to use could get you into more trouble than it is worth for just an avvie or siggie! Probably nothing more than a cease and desist, but still, it could end up going up all the way to the top of WI with a letter like that and we would not want to get any admin in trouble either if they found illegal images in use.

And even if you do get an image from a stock site, as long as you pay for it and abide by the terms of use, you can use it, so you would be ok... just usually to expensive to pay for one of those to use for a site like this.

Always best to use your own work or go to the avvie and siggie shops here.

Not trying to confuse or scare anyone... just wanted to clear up that point of getty and royalty free.
