I looked back after weaving through a maze of random hallways. Dang it. She was still back there. Would I ever get rid of her?

(Yeah, I'm doing NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) where you try to write 50,000 words in a month. I'm a few days ahead but I'm still trying to get my daily goal every day. And failing miserably. )

I soared high over the grounds, my silent feathers making no sound as I glided over the Forbidden Forest. I soon left the trees behind me and moved on to the sprawling lawn, then the lake. I could see some of the waving squid tentacles just below the surface of the clear water and pulled up slightly.
