I just watched the two of them, seeing what they would say next. They seemed to get along good, unlike the other set of twins I knew. I grabbed another piece of candy from my jean pocket, not willing to offer them any, unless they asked for one.

"I don't want to talk about it," I assured him. "And I am happy, a part of me is and that's good, considering under normal circumstances I'd still be screaming at Ryan or crying or something stupid."

I saw Madison grab some candy from her pocket, and I could tell Elissa had, too.

Aspen glanced over at me and I could tell she had seen the candy too. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a bag of licorice Mom had sent us. I offered her a piece, and she bit it out of my hand.

"Nice." I said.

"That reminds me of Amy..." she said. (Amy's their little puppy )
"How so?" I asked.
"Remember, with the tree-"
"Oh yeah! That was funny! But what about the cereal, when she--" I started to say.

Aspen cracked up. I followed her lead. ( )
