"Dont you dare tell me that." I warned. That wasnt the reason, we both knew it, he was saying that to get me to not be angry with him. "Why did you come back. I want the real reason." | | | 07-10-2009, 04:47 PM | #5122 | Renae Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11,271 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: Originally Posted by puppups818 I took a step back. "Do you want me to lie? Say the top ten things that might have worked to reel in any kid in the state in? Because maybe the three great meals a day would work on the Gryffindor and the biggest library collection ever might work on the Ravenclaw, but really Amal? Can you really take me and put me into one of those categories? The food and the books? Or am I the one that likes to be here because I can talk to ghosts all day and no one gives a thing?" | | | 07-10-2009, 04:52 PM | #5123 | ♂♂ ♂♀ ♀♀ Gifted Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 14,436 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: I looked down. It was true, Connor was a rarity that you couldnt pin to one of the houses. He didnt seem to care at all when it came to this place, he wasnt here for grades or socializing or sports or any of that. "If thats the truth then lie. I dont want to be the one responsible for bringing you back to a place you so obviously hate." I said quietly and lifted my gaze to him. "Lie to me Connor." | | | 07-10-2009, 04:56 PM | #5124 | Renae Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11,271 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: Originally Posted by puppups818 I looked down. My eyebrows pressed together. "It was Derik Anderson, Amal. He and his rugged soccer jerseys. They were calling me back." | | | 07-10-2009, 04:57 PM | #5125 | Swirly McSmittington Webkinz :) Join Date: Dec 2008 Posts: 10,722 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: I knew it was a bad idea. It was ringing over and over again in my head: bad idea bad idea bad idea bad idea. I was going to mess it all up, and people didn't give second chances too often. It was like nobody trusted anybody else; you'd think everybody was out to get each other. Which wasn't the case at all; it wasn't like people intentionally messed things up to be inconvenient to others.
It was more of people didn't know what they were doing, ever, and in turn they messed everything up, but didn't want to accept it. They expected all to be forgiven and get a retry at everything. I sort of expected it, too, even though I knew it didn't work that way. If you messed up once, you might as well have messed up a thousand times. Nobody believed you when you said it wouldn't happen again; nobody wanted to take the chance. They all thought you would mess up again (You would. At some point). And from then on out, everything was your fault if something went wrong. It was a horrible feeling. It really was.
So that's why I hesitated at the door. I admittedly was afraid what would happen if I actually did it. But I was also afraid what would happen if I didn't. I couldn't decide which fear was worse, though. I was going to do it as a way of fixing things, but I knew things rarely turned out how you planned on them to. So maybe it'd mess things up further. Maybe it'd ruin everything. As if my life wasn't already more complicated than I'd like. I tried to be happy with it the best I could, though. It was my only life- I was coming to terms with that- I wasn't going to get any re-do's. I wouldn't get a second chance. And that was actually one of the reasons I was doing it. Sometimes you had to take a chance, right?
I sighed. I knew it was a bad idea, true. I knew it could ruin everything, yes. I knew that if I messed it up, there was no do-over. I knew that it could be potentially be the stupidest thing I ever did. I knew a lot of things. I took a deep breath, and opened the door. I had to do it. There are some things you can't escape. | | | 07-10-2009, 05:01 PM | #5126 | ♂♂ ♂♀ ♀♀ Gifted Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 14,436 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: ((Oh My. My side hurts from laughing.)) That did it. I clamped my hand over my mouth and laughed, uncontrolably, for a minute at least. When I could control myself I looked at him and smiled sightly. "God I missed you." I told him, all my anger gone. Funny how that happens, one good line and everything else doesnt matter. | | | 07-10-2009, 05:04 PM | #5127 | Renae Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11,271 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: Originally Posted by puppups818 ((Oh My. I was also multi-tasking, humming "Baby Come Back to Me." | | | 07-10-2009, 05:06 PM | #5128 | ♂♂ ♂♀ ♀♀ Gifted Join Date: Jun 2007 Posts: 14,436 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: I followed beside him. "Im sorry about earlier." I told him, figuring I owed him an apology so all would be well. | | | 07-10-2009, 05:10 PM | #5129 | Renae Gifted Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 11,271 | Re: Hogwarts [OFFICIAL] - Part 4 of Year 7 - CHECK IT OUT (: Originally Posted by puppups818 I followed beside him. I hesitated but nodded taking the lead, not sure where he had intended on going but it was stairs, and a pretty safe guess was up. "I have the necklace."
