"Do you still have that necklace?" I asked. I held the journal securely at my side, admittedly a tad afraid she might implode.
I probably should have mentioned the gift in the beginning of our lovely conversation, but it had only just dawned on me that I could find Liv using that. Of course, now was the worst time to ask, seen as I had just witnessed her throwing away anything that reminiscent of the past.
