My heels clicked as I ran down the stairs, the cardboard box in my arms made it difficult to manage the staircases and I stumbled at least twice on my way down. Once at the bottom I located the largest trash bin I could find and threw the whole box in, except a journal I had found in the bottom of my trunk while cleaning it out. Straightening my shirt I flipped through the pages as I headed outside, my frown deepening with each page that I turned. Every page was written the same as the last, Today was boring. Today was lonely. I wish it was more exciting here. I stopped midstep by the lake as it glinted, causing me to look up. Taking a step back and throwing the journal overhand into the water. 7 years of complaints and wishes gone.

I kicked to the surface with my arm pointing to the bleak sky, so anyone who was watching would see their precious book rising up, seemingly back form the dead. Then, of course, they would see me, as my lack of air was interfering with my meddling. I did my best to mask my face; from previous experience, I knew that when someone threw a prized possession away, he-she was normally ticked off.

I blinked and rubbed my eyes as I stared at the water, the jornal -soaked and ruined hopefully- rising up to the surface, followed by a hand and a familiar head of hair. I scoffed, my anger quadrupling and turned away from him, working my way towards the castle at a steady pace, one foot directly infront of the other.

I shook the water from my hair, treading water as I watched her leave.
Yeah, she was ticked.
I pushed myself to the surface, feeling the lake water slide down my nose and plunk onto my racing feet. I snatched a towel from beside the bush and sprinted to her. When I was sure I was present in her peripherals, I followed leisurely at her pace.
