Quinn is your age, and is a Ravenclaw." That was it for the Andersons. "Milly is the redhead girl who is always with one of the Andersons or Chris. She's a seventh year. Chris is the Ravenclaw prefect, 7th year. I don't know who the R girl is. And I think that's it."

"So what's new in your life?" I didn't want to talk anymore.

"I see," I said, understanding it a bit more, but still not fully. Too many names. "Not that much is new," I admitted. It was basically the same thing day after day. "Have you talked to Cassie lately?" I asked.

I sat outside next to Ryan, who had previously been talking. But now we both had went quiet, which is usually what happened after a long story or explanation. Sometimes I just didn't know what to say, and I guess Ryan didn't, either. So we just both kind of sat there, comfortable with the silence.
I was thinking things over. Sometimes I got so caught up with my life, that I forgot to do so. It was weird. When looking back on my life, it was a lot different than I always thought it would be. It wasn't supposed to be like it was, but that's how it turned out. I'd always pictured myself maybe having a little bit better of life, but I figured what I got was pretty okay, too. Not what I originally wanted it to be, but okay. I mean, I had my whole life planned out by the time I was seven, and so far nothing I wanted to had gone my way. But I couldn't say I wasn't happy.

Today was one of those days where I felt about a thousand emotions at once. Anger, despair, sadness, confusion, happiness. I didn't know how other people were supposed to understand me when I couldn't understand myself at times. It didn't matter, I guess. The feeling would pass. Hopefully.

A light wind was tickling against the bare skin of my arms and I was actually glad I hadn't worn a jacket as planned. Because sometimes you just needed to feel.
